Hahahaha. Brian McCann, the self appointed celebration police and keeper of the unwritten rules also happens to be a cheater and a hypocrite. How unsurprising.

I’m a firm believer that Trout should win the MVP, but it’d be kinda hilarious to see the reaction if Bregman gets it knowing he was probably cheating.

I’m really kind of disappointed this has yet gone unnoticed in a thread full of baseball enthusiasts.

You just can't see me smdh. And I have been mostly out.

And I am just waiting for the confirmation to come out of the pitchers substances & shenanigans. I mean, there has been thoughts before but do we really think they only worked to help the batters?

Good read, thank you. I always remember Dewey so much for his fielding/throws that I kinda forget how good a hitter he was.

Mets have a Rookie of the Year and a Cy Young winner, and can't even make it to the playoffs.

Bets are they will pull their usually fire sale and trade both. The Wilpon's obviously made their money trading futures.
In order to properly convert this thread to a polyasshat thread to more fully enrage the liberal left frequenting here...... (insert latest democratic blunder of your choice).

I bet the DH alvarez is glad he got his rookie of the year award before this all blew up.

man, the astros were generally considered a bunch loveable good hard playing guys (jose cruz, biggio, bagwell, lance berkman) for the everyday players imo.

that's all gone now. there is not one fanbase that will not want to beat up on the cheating astros from here on out. definitely glad I became a casual fan after they left the NL after 50 years.

St Louis Cardinals docked two draft picks and fined $2m for hacking Astros database, be curious what the penalty here is.
Obv I want the 2017 series vacated, but doubt that will happen

guess they are talking to the Sox too, did we get cheated out of 2 World Series?!?
Nats were not having it and planned for it:

""First, each pitcher had to have his own set of signs, and catchers Yan Gomes and Kurt Suzuki had to be familiar with each one. So the staff printed out cards with the codes and had them laminated. The catchers could have them in their wristbands, a la an NFL quarterback with play calls strapped to his forearm, and the pitchers would have them in their caps. Each pitcher had five sets of signs, and they could change them from game to game—or even batter to batter, if necessary. Using the set labeled No. 2, but worried the Astros were catching on? The pitcher could signal to the catcher to move to set No. 3.

"Next came the way the Nats employed their signs, which was nontraditional. Rather than just use, say, the second sign the catcher put down, the Nats might 'chase the two.' That meant the pitcher would watch for the catcher to put two fingers down, and then throw the pitch that corresponded to the following sign. Or they could play 'outs plus one.' So if there was one out, the pitch would be the second sign the catcher put down. If there were no outs, it would be the first sign. 'Strikes plus one' worked the same way."
