I can almost guarantee good snow for the Cascades next week.
I'm having a car project done that will likely take out my transpo for most of the week.

We appreciate your sacrifice for the greater good. I'm holding off buying more skis to make sure we get something.

Cool photo. It'd be cooler if you took that in October though.

where do I go with my fam before or after xmas break?. Driving distance + snow+ local lodging available + local services + pet friendly.. .. cost and availability such an issue these days. sandpoint/schweitzer probably in the lead... just not enough choices. crystal chalets an option but no pets. no lodging at mission. w/b too expensive. red maybe too far a drive?

Go to Mission, stay downtown Wenatchee. It’s such a quick drive. Closer than WW is to Nelson. There’s a nice hotel on the river next to Pybus market. Lots of good places to eat around downtown.

Pm me if you want more details.

Saturday wasn't bad, could ski onto the lifts with no wait, but it was only a half day (2-6pm) so I presume people might be waiting for today when they're open for a full day.

Annual exit 47 tree hunt was a shitshow yesterday (always is…)

The amount of vehicles that attempt to get up that logging road without ATs or snows is ridiculous….

Keep going east until Cabin Creek exit, way better trees and way less kooks

Thanks for the suggestion. That's a strong candidate. Would ideally like to have snow on the ground where we stay as well but that might not happen.

Could stay in Plain (near lake Wenatchee), ski @ Stevens or mission. Little further out but there will probably be snow on the ground.
