I’m of the perspective that “participation in competitive sports creates lower level moral reasoning in both sport and life”, and that anything that illuminates its’ fundamental absurdity, as the transgender issue certainly does, is a positive.

Aww. Scotty’s triggered! When were professional athletes not douche bags again?

Bring back the good old days when they were allowed to beat their wives, girlfriends and others with impunity but at least they didn’t have the audacity to kneel in protest of police violence! That’s where dumb America draws the line!

When women's leagues are paying as much or more than men's pro leagues this might be something worth STARTING to discuss.. Until then, as long as the lowest level pro NBA baller earns several times what the best WNBA player gets we're not going to see all these men trying to exploit that loophole.

I have seen seveal stories on TV where some guy in High school wants to identify as a girl. And then they let him join the Girls Track team. Needless to say he blows all the girls away at every event.

Is this a good place to talk about Oscar Pistorius? The IAAF claimed his prosthetics gave him an unfair advantage and it took a court case for him to win the right to compete against non-disabled athletes. What would be the fair way to treat athletes like him?

Jail seems to have stopped Pistorius.

Nobody's going to claim they identify as a female just to win races. If they're fast enough to obliterate the women, they're likely fast enough to earn a spot on the men's team. Pretty sure the motivation and need for them to follow through on their gender identity FAR OUTWEIGHS their desire to win a couple races in high school.

Otherwise, why isn't everyone doing it? Because nobody's going to put themselves out there owning gay just to win a race.
