too good
Saturday was such a bonus.
yesterday afforded some fine 50 mph cruising with perfect edge to edge corduroy. Brownie even opened up a few strips on wizard - love just pointing it through those pitches. Then of course sitting in bar watching masters coverage it starts bombing snow again...
relentless!

when I started to frequent TGR again after a long sabbatical, the Ullr was in full force. the timing was strange, that "you know who" was stirring up a shit storm ...over Ullr stoke. https://www.tetongravity.com/forums/...highlight=ullr

For anyone that wants to get some more use out of their Magic pass: Plattekill will be open this weekend and they have a ton of snow.

Saturday looks to have some potential to be good. No hard freeze the night before and a chance of showers, but right now "partly sunny."

I was hoping to split the beer Sherpa load with Peruvian this weekend, but it looks like work/family responsibilities will prevent that from happening. Which sadly means my ski season is over.
But as I look back, what a good fucking time!!!! We had our highs and lows, can’t say I was pumped to miss out powvember, but the Xmas weeks rocked. Summer in late January/early Feb not so much, but then came March.
Personally, I am thrilled by the changes/improvements management has put in place. As DoWork mentioned to me earlier in the season, I (and some others) have shifted from most likely to be lapping west side woods bell to bell, to most likely to be lapping surface lifts from bell to nap time. But man has it been awesome. The management/operations team has really produced enough options to keep a whole family occupied. I ended up skiing 38 days with a 2.5 year old and a 0.5 year old. By my estimate, my 2.5 year old skied 42. You couldn’t do that two years ago, your arms would fall off.
A HUGE thank you to all of the staff at Magic who make this happen!!! The hill has some of the most dedicated, hard working, and just all around good people making this happen day in and day out. It’s awesome to see how jazzed everyone is about revitalizing a mountain, and awesome to see everyone coming back year after year, THANK YOU!

Peruvian and I chased the murk up Glebe this morning.
He thought I was kidding when I suggested beer for breakfast
I wasn't...
The clouds blew away just as we finished breakfast and we proceeded down Wand to Talisman. Twas quite sweet. The bottom pitch required a little dot connecting but everything else was really fat
Skied all the way to the deck. Should be able to repeat next weekend.

Can't believe the difference a week makes - fkn 80 degrees down here today and last weekend was skiing blower snow on sat and my feet were genuinely freezing my last run Sunday.
Looks pretty good yet. And remember, you can't drink all day if you don't start in the am!

MNIAW, beers for breakfast might not be the best idea. And I quote "The clouds blew away just as we finished breakfast and we proceeded down Wand to Talisman."
Wand to Talisman, have't tried that combo yet.
