    Nah, garbage day just gets pushed back a day here with the long weekend. The city doesn't pick up trash here for HOAs. Even though taxes are supposed to pay for free residential trash/recycling pickup the city refuses to pick up here because the lanes are technically private property. I went out a little while ago, bins that are out are still all full. Garbage truck always shows up by 830. Recycling used to follow but now comes in the afternoon. I should just put my bins out now, the garbage stinks this week.

    Funny to read all the questions and concerns, from the newcomers, about bears on our towns forum page. Let's see, you buy a house in the mountains and can't figure out that you are now living among the bears and other wildlife. Hmmm. Maybe hold off on putting that trash bin out and skip the feeders in summer.

    "If you look at Ayik and his involvement, essentially he's almost like the prime sponsor of ANOM among the criminal cartels and the criminal milieu,'' Australian Federal Police Superintendent Jared Taggart was quoted by the Australian Telegraph as saying."

    " Mr Ayik himself is not yet in custody but senior police officials say others busted by the software will now be aware he had "put them in this type of situation, exposed them to this"....Given the threat he faces, he's best off handing himself into us as soon as he can," Australian Federal Police Commissioner Reece Kershaw said."

    That a person with the 3rd most posts in the Burning Man thread has never been to BM and has no intention of ever going.

    That's not me--but is it ok if I post in the BM thread? I spent a week cleaning the playa dust off the bike and other stuff I loaned my kid.

    I've posted in the thread and have never been, and probably won't ever go. But I won't post in the thread telling people what BM is all about, why people go, what people go, why it's dumb or why people shouldn't go, or anything of the sort.

    Things That Amuse You

    local car ad for an ‘06 Acura MDX

    pics and contact info available on request

    ~~~~~~~~~
    $500 goes to a good or bad home.
    This car is a drivable, registered, smogged. POS. I HATE IT.
    I've had the car 4 years. It was a POS when i got it.
    Pros. It runs. And it's registered. And smogged.
    Cons. Everything else about it but the engine.
    Engine is solid.
    Howz the interior? Questionable. Depends on what you need to be nice.
    How's the tranny? Well. This automatic, works. As long as you drive it like a manual.
    How's the AC? trash.
    How's the suspension? Trash.
    Howz the power steering? Non existent.
    Howz the stereo, and speakers? Only thing that's not in the car.
    I would not advise anyone to buy this car for transportation. Unless you got 10,000 to throw at it.
    This car is sold as is.
    It's a POS .
    Someone needs an engine.
    That's my target audience.
    Though Anyone can come take the damn thing.
    You can even drive out home.
    Even if you live in the bay. It'll make it. But one trip, and you will Hate this car as much as i do.
    Impossible to hate it more.
    Seats 7.
    I didn't believe in reincarnation when I was your age either.
    I don’t know where this goes, but there was a guy in handcuffs escorted by two other gentlemen on my flight from IF to SLC today. Never seen that before.
    My 4 year old asking Alexa to play songs with titles he made up on the spot.
    Turns out there really is a "cat flushing a toilet" (I'll spare you) and some others equally as tough to listen to (repeatedly).
    He did find a cool one though - Royksopp - Keyboard Milk:
    There's a WWE credit card. For when the AmEx Platinum is just not sophisticated enough.
    This just occurred to me:
    All those Christian conservatives yelling about "woke liberals" would think nothing about belting out Amazing Grace the original theme song of the woke. LOL!
    Obama singing it a Clementa Pinckney's funeral was incredibly moving. A very touching screen moment is Meryl Streep singing Amazing Grace in "Silkwood".
    I have Jooxmilk’s first album (on vinyl). They’re pretty obscure so I doubt you have heard of them.
    My BIL amuses me. His only kid just graduated from HS... he got suprised-married to his GF between the daughter's last day of school and graduation... then he *upsized* from a 2300 sq ft house to this 3800 sq foot monstrosity:
    Because... you know... it'll just be the two of them now.
