Up there you could get Alpine, Ten Penny or Schooner but mostly potatoes. Played rugby up there ever farther north. There was one guy who looked like he had lived in the HS basement by the boiler for 10 years and could only play home games.

Sounds like my buddy rhino. His neck was thicker than his head and he had a thick noggin. Lining up oil drum garbage cans at the drive in all nighters with his head like spider mans nemisis. Rugby training camp of sorts

Prob - I did the commonwealth student visa work thing in Aus, NZ and UK as a youngster - very good times.

Back in the day you had to show you had x $ in the bank before you could get in. I remember me and a couple buds moving our tree planting cash from account to account in MacKenzie BC credit union to make the grade- but that was the only requirement.

My point is man, and I don’t really have strong feelings one way or the other, but my point is man most quebeckers don’t recognize the British crown as sovereign. In fact Victoria Day (the old lady’s birthday) is not really celebrated here. The hard core quebs recognize that day as journée des patriotes (patriots day).

Quebec and Americans share a deep rooted hatred for the British.

So much for the rumored June 22 opening. Closed until at least July 21.

they want >75% of Canadians to have at least the 1st vax before openning the border

couldn't we just give them more money, who knew that vax levels would affect travel and real life ?

It actually seems like the prudent thing to do. We're allllllmost there and things are looking pretty good now. An extra 4 weeks will just allow us to make sure things arent' gonna get worse again. Canada's healthcare system can't handle these large surges, it's just not built for it.

I need to book somewhere refundable now for August. I predict when the border does open officially accommodation prices are going to about double overnight.

I’d be bummed if I had a house in Canada.
I think in the long run, it’s going to hurt the RE market.

The Bahamian’s are much more accommodating.

Rumor has it that it's going to a one way street pre-July 21. Fully vaxed Canadians will be able to come down to the states and return without quarantine.

Friend of mine’s family owns a couple of islands off the coast of Victoria. They haven’t been able to go there this whole time. We joked about annexing them. Pretty sure they have a strange pleasure about the islands technically being in Canada even though they might as well be in the US San Juan’s.

I know science sucks but they are waiting for the numbers to look better

which is after all the title of the thread

RE is stupid high everywhere in Canada, so will "hurt the RE market" be the same as the RE bubble bursting ?

but why do we need yer money maybe you can go ahead & ge some of that Bahamian pow ?
