188 FRS. Ordered during custom sale, but went stock everything. Still in the plastic.

The shape and camber profile look sooooooo money.

I know - so stoked. Very glad they have minimal camber and deep, low-rise rocker. And a good stiff flex. Psyched.

(Makes me feel better about not ordering Kusalas....sigh....)

Those FRS look sick. My quiver is maxxxed out but I could probably make room for a pair of those. Maybe 188 Quixote's for Saddle slayage too hahaha

No. I've wanted CBs for a while, but have not pulled the trigger. Wasn't planning on buying any resort (sad face) pow skis this year, but the Praxis deal this summer was too good to pass up.

Have/had Rustler 11s, Protests, Bibbys, Deathwishes, etc. - will compare those....someday...soon, I hope!

Love it. Always have been a fan of the abstract Praxis topsheets. Those are gonna rip!

My 180cm BCs arrived this week - enduro with carbon, flex #3, maple veneer, and they come in at 1800g per ski.

daaaammmmmnnn dschane - those Eagle's Nest BC look sick! I love the minimalist outline topsheets on veneer - they really let the wood shine through.

Any opinions on what to pair with a 187 enduro veneer GPO, 4 flex? Picked them up last year and absolutely love how they ski in anything remotely soft. Looking for something with a similar feel in the 95-105 range underfoot for firm days...

I've been away from the conversation for a while, but from memory, the 105 GPO experiment had mixed results and that the BC was the better option for similar ish feel in a smaller waist. That being said I don't think either are optimized for a mostly firm snow ski.

I've been rocking the Piste Jibs for 3 seasons now as my everyday hard east coast ski (heavy core, veneer w/c). The extra weight from the heavy core, plus the veener really helps to smooth out the ride at high speed on hard snow. The great thing about the PJ is that the fairly long and subtle rocker keeps its really nimble and fun in fresh snow up to about 6". So it works great for soft snow missions in the trees, even if the resort is riding totally hard pack. I'm not really up to speed on the 94 MVP, so that might be the new option.

    Ahhhhh, analysis paralysis!

What ski do I want for pow ski in 2 ski Tahoe resort quiver? New Kusalas, 188 FRS, or 184 BG???

5'9", 170lbs, 42 yo. Been on skis since 3. Equal mix of shin driving and centered stance. Ski very fast, but more finesse than beast. Ski BC, Squaw, Alpine, Sugar Bowl.

DD - Fischer Ranger 102 mounted +2, amazing ski, lots of backbone but super playful. Might swap for Woodsman 102 for no reason other than ON3P

Pow skis I have / had

188 OG Protest (sold) - absolutely loved, but only in 6+ fresh. Would buy again but only in bigger quiver
182 GPO mounted +2 - 100+ days, love these sticks too, super versatile, but that tip deflection sucks. These only get pulled out on f' around days so not really counting in quiver
182 Quixote (1 ski BC quiver) - 100+ days in BC and resort. Fav ski of all time, insane versatility, charge one sec, slip and slide next BUT...want something more playful and loose in pow
184 17/18 BG (sold) - best ski evr for chop at Squaw + Sugar Bowl, loved the Range Rover smooth suspension but just not playful enough

Also had 184 Piste Jibs, but only Praxis ski I haven't loved. Felt GPO did everything better than PJ and then some. So not sure FRS is the ski for me.

Want something more loose and jibby than Quixote or BG, more versatile and flexible for non-epic days than Protest, more chargeable and stable than GPO.

Talked to a dude up here who said he had same experience on his BGs but solved when mounting forward and I've been digging forward mounts so considering this option again

    Thanks Praxis crew

Well, not Praxis, but it kinda sounds like you're describing a Bibby/Wildcat to me. Especially since the Wildcat got heavier again for this year.

Was going to build up another Q cause that ski does so much so well, but ultimately held off for something more slippery and jibby

116 Woodsman maybe? But not sure how loose that ski is

Right. Nice one. Keep forgetting about that ski as I’ve been so stuck on Praxis + ON3P.

Have you skied the newer versions? Shop up the street has last years for 50 off which I could use right now.
