Looks to be snowing hard in summit but the radar shows it ending soon if the wind doesn't shift.

Did you know that with your 23/24 season pass, you can come up and take advantage of the incredible spring conditions right away? Yep! You don’t have to wait until next season to get out on the slopes -your pass is ready to use immediately."
Got the okay to get a Silverton unguided pass for next year, and the wife is planning to downgrade to a Fridays only pass, so don't think I'll be upgrading. Worth a thought in a year like this, though...

And yeah, Purgatory has no sustained fall line, particularly without 5 open most weekdays, but whatever, gonna be an awesome San Juan spring in the bc.

Purgatory has fabulous stair step terrain!

(something like that was in their promo materials at some point in the 90s, maybe still is)

Combine blind headwalls, crisscrossing & funneling trails with people ripping with tunnel vision from all directions and out of the trees, keep your head on a swivel at all times.

When my son was young and just learning, I felt safer taking him to Telluride. Then season passes for kids were $75-$125 for almost 10 years.

When real young, I took him to Silverton and Kendall Mtn.

Ha, you're not riding the right trails. There's a lot of super fun stuff in Eagle, and most of it isn't on the east side above town.

Wow, talk about finishing strong. Today was about the 38th day I said "best day of the year". There were better, but man it was good...

That pretty much summed up wolf creek today. 10" on a 160" base. Probably as good as this place can ski. Amazing they were running the snowcat for maybe a dozen riders.

Rumor is that Steamboat closed Pony Express for the season due to staffing. It was closed today. Trying to figure out if it’s gonna open tomorrow.

    Anyone have any info?

^ fairly certain that’s correct. I think they had a sign up last weekend saying it was closing for the season.

busy day in Breck but hot dog it was good up high.

Buddy said he got to the basin at 8:30 and was turned around. Gotta love gaper day, where the lots are full and no one is skiing. cool

Heard a guy in the lift line say that like 7 people in his crew didn’t even bring gear. Makes me not feel bad about driving solo for pre work turns.

Hardly enough snow to stay open.

Let me know if you swing down to the Juans at all this spring!
