I'm not sure I'm that magnanimous.

I agree that challenging oneself is healthy, even essential, but my personal challenges sometimes amount to getting up in the morning to get my kid to school or skinning up some stupid peak to satiate my appetite for self indulgent skifiending, On the other hand, I am proud of having done stuff to facilitate Bill Gates making billions and maybe even making life easier for billions of people.

Where the hell do you go to get ears cleaned? Sounds like a good opportunity for strips malls.

Other than the Delhi ear wallahs, I've never had the pleasure in the overly litigioUSA. The Wallah's skills were so out standing they were able to remove unimaginable mountains of gack from my ears. It would almost be worth another trip to the subcontinent for the pleasure of repeating that experience

I used to care about Guy Ritchie when he could still make a decent movie but things changed.

I lifted my phrase from the title of a good book by William Finnegan, which was also his term for his surf-only days https://www.amazon.com/Barbarian-Day.../dp/0143109391

If you have a functioning ear drum, where is all this gunk from a cleaning coming from?

I've never heard of professional ear cleaning until today.

How much does it cost to get your ears professionally cleaned?

Typical costs: Without insurance, an appointment to have earwax removed can cost between $40 and $110 at a primary care physician's office or a clinic for people without insurance. CVS Minute Clinic charges $59 for ear wax removal. With insurance, typical copays and deductibles will apply.

Teacher: What do you want to be when you grow up? Student: I want to remove wax from people's ears. Teacher: Get out.

there used to be some guys in Delhi who had like 5-10 piece tool kits to clean your ears. A wild specialty, one hell of an ear cleaning.

Most of them had a tool kit consisting of one or two small metal rods, some cotton, and a mysterious and mystical elixir they injected into their subjects ears
