Netflix Streaming Question

So the previous tenant in my house left the tv. The tv has a Netflix button and she's logged in so I've been enjoying Longmire, etc. for free. What are the potential pit falls of this? Do the videos I watch change her recommendations or could she tell that someone else is using her account? I'll be paying for it once she figures it out I'd just like to postpone that.

she can tell what you watch. it makes recommendations based on your viewing, and asks to resume viewing where you left off. When you log in if it asks who's watching if theres more than one option, don't choose her.

No real downside other than her noticing another user and changing her password. Recently watched would be a quick giveaway but she may notice a second user account too but it wouldn't always be as visibilible. I'd prob try and set up a second account. Call it something that sounds like she might have set it up by mistake.

Funny you bring this up, have an account but picked up a second apple tv unit this year and it came with the prior owner's nflix acct. the experiment is six months in, no issues. Fwiw I rarely use that tv for nflix, my gf's account handles the binging.

My guess is that if the tenant left a TV she isn't all that worried about her Netflix account. I doubt there is any Netflix account that isn't being shared--isn't the limit 3 sparate devices at the same time, so obviously Netflix is expecting this. If you can reach the tenant you might get an HBO Go account and share with her.

All Netflix could be tracked using viewer's activity under account. You can clear your watching history.
