awesome thread...i posted something similar in the "hook-ups" thread but didn't get any takers for swaps.

I've got a roommate now in my 2BR apartment in San Francisco so can't do it anymore. But i think it totally makes sense to swap among people here in the TGR community, hope someones gets an awesome hook-up.

How about Maggot House Trading? It's a Google spreadsheet. I don't really have anywhere to trade as a student, but I put a family house up as example.

I've compiled everyone's info. Excuse me if i forgot anyone. Pretty much no one was complete, so feel free to enter your information as you'd like. I made it possible so anyone viewing the document can make changes to it, so please do!

I decided against a .xls because it was just too wordy.

I think that when new people ad themselves to the list they should also post in the thread. Also, I think any specifics that are discussed (like addresses, phone numbers, dates of travel, etc) should be either thru PM or email, just to make sure we keep it safe).

I'll do my best to manage all of this shit, but please feel free to edit the list yourself!

thanks! I'll edit my first post in the thread with this new stuff.

I hope this works, and please give me any feedback to make it run smoother!

Great idea. Check out the "forms" section of google docs. You can create a form to enter the info. All the that info is than put into a google docs spread sheet.

Did you consider adding the ability for people to just let people use their extra room(s). ie I stay in your extra room this March and you stay in my extra room in July.

This rocks! Thanks for putting this together. You've done a much better job than I did when I tried it. I'll update my own listing. FYI, Tech Tonics turned this...

Maybe if it gets any 'busier' it could be organized by region or state/province or whatever.

    And I like this idea...

Just added mine. Also as an FYI, it automatically saves, so if you start typing and decide to abort, delete your stuff, don't just close the window.

I'm down: nice 3 bed, 2 bath house in Truckee. Tahoe Donner area.

Close to all the goods: skiing (Squaw, Alpine, etc) and great BC access, awesome mtb'ing, road riding, hiking, swimming, boating (Donner Lake and Lake Tahoe). Downtown Truckee close by, lots of places to eat and drink.

Looking to swap homes in Jackson, Alta/Bird, BC, and possibly NYC or London or Dublin.

Looking to go to: BC (Whistler, Fernie, Red, Nelson), ID (Ketchum/SV), WY (Jackson/Driggs) UT (Alta/Bird). Possibly swap as well for EUR (London, Dublin, Paris)

if you or any of the other house swappers are interested in a lovely San Francisco Haight/Ashbury apartment, we're outta town Aug 11th-18th, so our place would be open to swap at that time. don't need a corresponding swap consecutively, either, cuz we'll be with fam on a boat!

refer to spreadsheet for apt deets.

I know that there are not a lot of people clamoring to vacation in MN, but lots of Mags have family here, could be a good spot if your back with your own family and are sick of bunking with the folks.
