EAST COAST ROLL CALL - Turn it up to 11

    ^awesome kid stoke!!

Stratt-in skied like a nice mid-winter day on Tuesday. Didn’t get that warm, but the snow was soft and edgy, even off-piste. 100% open. Still Deep in the woods. Occasional sun spots.

Yesterday was a wonderful corn harvest at Lewn. A little sticky here and there, otherwise hero snow on and off piste. 100% open I’m pretty sure, but nowhere near the Strattin base, duh. Still snow in treez on most aspects. Sun spots beginning to emerge. Forgot how cool a hill that was.

Some great LMSB quotes “Daddy this is a nice potty”, “Daddy is that the lodge?” No that’s a house. “Daddy do they have a rope tow?” No they don't have a rope tow “Why? I ski the rope tow”.

We rode the gondola back down. LMSB is not to proud to walk away from a line. Besides, they charged my two year old $10 we were going to get our money’s worth. For a moment I thought we might go around and around.

And rode a Magic Carpet longer than the 2nd ave subway.

With my wallet empty, we headed back to Magic for nap time.

I traded LMSB for Very LMSB (”VLMSB”). We started to skin up Magic. For about 45 minutes I dominated fathering.

VLMSB woke up just in time for a little scenic hike and snowboard down.

First top to bottom run for VLMSB!

Not bad for what I thought was going to be a rainy Wednesday!

P.S. thank you all for the help on the AT setup. The forum’s generosity is really special. Special thanks to Elevens who hooked me up. They will require a little more modification to work and maybe some carbon. But you will see pics next season of the smallest AT setup ever.
That puts smile on my face.
    Thank you for sharing!

Goniff and I went to Smuggs today. Got there for lift opening and all was well. By about 1:00 Sol appeared and turned the whole mountain to glue. We spent most of the day in the many inbounds tree runs that exist...thanks to FD for sending directions for the goods. Our assessment is that Smuggs = Magic X 1.5.

Black Line Tavern > Black Bear Tavern was clearly not part of your equation.

Goniff mentioned that. However Madonna Liftline = Red Line X 3, so there's some math in there...

I got out for a bushwhack in the local state park and found some great wide open trees. The snow was wet but nice and soft. It felt great to be back on my Dynafits again after a repair and ditch my frames.

Okay, for those who care about lift served and who's open where... here is first blogpost of the Spring.

You can ride lifts and ski from Newfoundland & Labrador to North Carolina - including Prince Edward Island.
