Brand spankin new hip-hop
Just to share some of my new music with the community. I've been listening to a lot of new stuff because I have nothing else to do.
I highly suggest Wale's new album to anyone who loves hiphop. Kinda poppy, but it still bangs. Reminds me of older Kid Cudi
Album's called Attention Deficit
I also like Raekwon's new album... Only Built for Cuban Linx Pt 2. Sounds like older Wu-Tang... which I love. The interludes remain true to classic wu. Good stuff, I listen to at least one track on this album a day
and lastly Cunninlynguists' new album, Strange Journey Vol. 2 is out and I am a huge fan. If you haven't heard of Cunninlynguists you better go listen to some of their older stuff... namely "A Piece of Strange" ... one of my favorite hiphop albums of all time. And go listen to Strange Journey Vol. 1 if you haven't already. Cunninlynguists FTW
enjoy.

gonna be interested to hear the Wale...i caught him live at SXSW 2 years ago and he blew every other rapper off the stage. i keep meaning to pick up some of his mixtapes, but have yet to do so (apparently they are pretty tight).
the thing about Wale is that he always kind of reminded me of Saigon, another cat who was hyped on the street, apparently had a major label deal, and then just never came out with anything other than mixtapes (Joe Budden followed a similar tract, though his was a result of getting dicked over by his label).
still need to peep the Rae joint, too.

i hope i'm proven wrong on that wale album, because right now i don't have high hopes for it. i went to check out some of his stuff on youtube and the first song that came up was a collaboration with lady gaga. not to mention his rapping on it is pretty damn lame.
the raekwon album is real dope though.
also check out the miseducation of freddie gibbs, it's a damn good album.

now that you bring that up, i seem to recall reading that the Wale album would be a little slick/mainstream.
i think you need to track down his "underground" mixtape stuff, which may present a better picture of what he's usually about.
given the Lady GaGa collab, makes you wonder how much of that was the label's idea.
as for other new rap that i've found pretty tight, i'm into Marco Polo and Torae - Double Barrel

that lady gaga collab is bullshit... hate that song
+2 for Freddie Gibbs, he's my new favorite up and comer and he collabs on a track for that Cunninlynguists album above
