Mammut Barryvox, New

Just got this from Mammut as a warranty replacement. I purchased another to use while mine was sent in so I don't need two.

This is a brand new unit complete with harness etc, only opened the box to inspect. Nice range at 70M and super easy to operate.

It's basically a wash with the shipping costs associated with ordering from T-P. I like my Barryvox. Fast processor, decent range, although not as great as advertised.

The Mammut marketing hype claims an amazing "80m range" or something, but when you look into it, it's 40m on either side of you. So yeah, about the same as any other high-end beacon.

That said, I did get the Barryvox S and like it, but can't say it's much of an upgrade over my S1+. They're both good, keeping both so I have a loaner.

The funny part is this Jong only posted this link after offering me considerably less than T-P 's pricing....as if it really matters what they will sell it for because historically they rarely actually ever bother to ship you one. Fuck off Jong.

Hey man all I’m sayin is that I’d rather buy it there with a bunch of other shit and save 40 bucks. Haven’t had any trouble with them in the past. Anyways let me know if you’re willing to drop the price.
