Loveland reported 4" this morning, but it was more like 8" by opening.

Yes MS, I went skiing today.

Good times at WP. Snowed all day. Stayed on the WP most of the morning for some soft groomer action, but went to my stash off Pioneer around noon. Completely untracked goodness. Berthoud was getting hammered on the way back.

Nice little storm with another coming Friday. Maybe the pattern really is changing....

I love me some Pioneer in the afternoon. Fresh snow and zero lines.

So good today. NW flow, cold, and windy up high. Trees were awesome.

Holy smokes today was SICK. Breck's snow stake showing 17" storm total. Legit thigh deep off 6 Chair and the T-Bar. My best day at Breck this season for sure.

    Happy Birthday to me!

How likely it is they'll be opening the terrain off peak 7/whales tail in the next day or two?

Not sure since a good chunk of Peak 7 ripped to ground when patrol bombed it last week. Gonna take some dumps to fill it back in. They most certainly could open Whales Tail, but Peak 7 proper is gonna take some more snow I think.

haha I didn't ski today but I heard the lines weren't so bad up high with the heavy snow/wind. So much snow the wind didn't do too much damage to really any aspect but obviously helped others.

just pulling your leg, at least someone can get a joke huh

the only shitty thing about today was being able to see 30 ft in front of you

imperial opened for a bit was ok if you like zero visibility and rocks with your powder

i doubt anything big will open before the end of the weekend (ie peak 7 summit) could be wrong, I can make a phone call and confirm, but there is no way they can get things opened quickly with all the snow, avy danger, and the endless supply of punters that are up there right now needing help, it's a ton o work

peak 6 blows in a way right now, just the easy shoulder down, cut way south into some trees with not a soul around major freshies, seems peak 6 is gapers paradise right now

bout time summit starts looking good this early, do the math suckers, it's adding up pretty nicely my weather prediction was pretty off for this year

It pretty fun right under the lift. Lots of little mounds and wind piles to jump off of. Gapers seem to go low skiers right or stay high left leaving the stuff in the middle in decent shape.

Copper reported 6" and was closer to 8" at opening and continued to snow all day. Today was good.

Skied Vail. It was one of the best Game Creek days I've ever had.

We left Vail at 4:30. Still haven't made it to the tunnel. We have been stuck between Dillon and the tunnel for almost 2 hours.

Who has the late 90s green GMC suburban with TGR and 4Frnt stickers?

Total dumpage at Vail. Finally started to get really good in the afternoon. Will be really good tomorrow as well. Low vis kept most of the people out if the bowls. The mountain needed it was definitely hard underneath until it started stacking up.

Absolute shit show on the drive back. Worst drive for me in a couple of years.

Just got home. It took almost six hours to drive Vail->Boulder.

    Unfuckingbelievable.

After watching the exodus west for the last week and a half through Clear Creek, with hardly any return traffic, this doesn't surprise me.

Sat/Sun EB traffic setting up to be a shit-show of epic proportions.

Think I'll take the Christmas lights down Sun. Climbing ladders repeatedly is good cross-training.

Loveland was pretty good yesterday too, and it only took me an hour and 20 minutes to get home. Not "epic", but not 4.5 hours of drive-time worth.

    Just sayin'.

I can imagine. It was absolutely nuking over VP at 9am. I was lucky and got a breakaway from a huge clusterfuck at the chain up station.
I don't know how you guys deal with it? I get all jittery if I have to go past the roundabout in Aspen.

On a side note. I drove past the dispensary next to I-70 in Denver and the line was around the block!
