Boudreau's name is being tossed around here in MN as our next coach. Should I be excited or worried? I'm not stoked on the idea.

He'll get MN a Presidents trophy, make the owner lots of money and get the Wild in the Playoffs. Then they will need a new coach. He is not goalie friendly and will publicly call out players at times . They will love him because he plays an offensive minded game and let's them run and gun. He does not know how to adapt and will not match lines against other teams. He fails in the playoffs because of this. When his game plan fails he is immediately out of answers.

Going to be tough for the Caps to beat the Pens, I hope it happens though.

Would also be satisfied with the Islanders making it. Isle's/Sharks would be sweet.

WTF is it about the Pens that the Caps can't get over. We look like absolute dogshit. Should honestly be 4-0. That 3rd goal was a joke, like a club team turning it over like that.

Gary Bettman doesn't want anyone beating his favorite team. Don't you know that?

I thought (and was glad to hear the commentators agree, for a change) that the Caps outplayed the Pens throughout, but they just weren't getting bounces. They came out fast and pretty much maintained the pace throughout. It reminded me of Game 5 in the first round, including the staggering shot differential. If they can take Game 4, I'll feel good, but if we're down 3-1, I think we'll lose 4-1.

Islanders are legit. Four solid lines. The fourth line in particular seems to control play and generates a lot of scoring chances. Third and fourth lines win cups. Drouin got cleanly lit up tonight. Watch the highlight.

That sounds like an excuse. And it is. I don't care if they get outshot 30-10, as long as more of their shots find the net. 47 shots sounds like a shitload, but they were not difficult saves. We don't seem to pick our shots anymore, just kinda throw it at the net all the time and see what happens. That's not how we won the regular season. Unfortunately we have a history of doing just that.

Yea, but that's how you get the bounces. Pucks on net, always.

You get bounces like Pittsburgh does - with people screening and deflecting well placed shots. You don't shoot on goal after crossing the blue line and put it in the goalie's gut...

Anyway, I'm just moaning. LET'S GO CAPS!

What about the woman sitting behind Lindy Ruff last night. Player's or coach's wife? Since the camera always focuses on the scored-against coach after a goal, she got a lot of air time.

Even Pierre "I like to suck Crosby's cock" McGuire pointed out that the two goals so far by the Caps have been elevated shots after a cross-goal pass. If I hear "Ovechkin shoots it right in the breadbasket" one more time tonight I'm gonna puke.

Made it to my first road playoff game in Anaheim two weeks ago. Fans were a lot better than I expected. Big one tonight!
