Well, I see your point. Compared to most people…

That said I've known a couple of friendly women that liked to drink beer, and I've only seen it once (15 years ago). Her husband seemed to think it was a pretty neat party trick. What's the average on women in the circles you travel quaffing a beer in one second? 50%?
I guess yeah, probably less than 50%…but probably a lot more than the average population. Party sometime with the women wildland crowd or patrollers, it can be interesting especially in out of the way places.

ETA: I understand most people don’t work with women that dip chew, wear the same underwear for 4 days, and can do 7 pull-ups.

I miss my camp days working with Canadian Ladies In Timber (as coined by a female coworker).

    Only if their adults.

(I read an op ed today advocaing doing away with apostrophes and using and using your and there for you're and they're and making their and there interchangeable, reasoning that the meaning is nearly always clear from the context. Im going to give it a try, since I do it accidentally already. Im sticking with the Oxford comma.)

I don't watch much TV but do like shows that seem to be going more and more to streaming.
So you are looking to get a Roku streaming device to plug into your existing dumb TV? (Compared to a new TV that has Roku operating system built into it like a TCL, Phillips, HiSense and other brands.)

So Roku has 2 things basically - apps for things like Netflix, Apple TV Plus, Paramount Plus, HBO Max, and then a long list of streaming services that you can get through apps like Hulu, Amazon Prime, Disney Plus, You Tube, You Tube TV, Discovery Plus, Tubi, Peacock, Philo, Frndly that many of course require a subscription. You basically also can get a pretty long list of Roku Live TV- kids shows, news shows, game shows, and older show reruns that stream for free... It is along with the Amazon Fire TV one of the basic, affordable streaming hardware devices out there - most are under $50

Roku has 4K models- as a matter of fact, all but their first entry level streaming device are 4K models. Not all the content of course maybe 4K and unless you have a bigger screen TV, the smaller TV's (like a 32" for say a kitchen or bedroom) may not have 4K capabilities. The Express + 4K is $30 right now and all the ones above it are 4K.

Fuck Roku, they gave zero fucks that their devices didn’t work with Google mesh wifi a year ago. I think it was the auto band switching. At any rate, I got a slightly older Apple TV device and didn’t look back.

Come to think of it, I have that Roku in its box & could mail it to you if you PM me.

I can remember when a 32 in TV was massive.

We like our Rokus for our older TV's. One of them is an older stick model that is sometimes too slow but it looks like that one is discontinued.

We have a huge DVD collection we rarely watch but last night we realized the TV we've had for 2 years doesn't have AV inputs. (I guess they make AV to HDMI converters. Should work for the VHS player too. )

Roku had 1 entry level Express that was not HDMI but used the composite RCA type jacks for older TV's. It was sold only at Walmart exclusively for a few years. Probably long gone now, but maybe a used one out there on Ebay or somewhere. It probably is also at this point old enough that some of the apps on it are old and would not work properly if you are wanting a specific streaming subscription...

Mine is HDMI. I still use it occasionally. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. The other fancier one I have is great.

Do race (bike, run, tri, etc) websites still use 'Result PDFs' for competitors to download to find out how they did, do most race websites have searchable results right online where you can type your name in and see what time/place you came in?

Thanks I'm looking for a broad answer like 'the majority use a PDF' or 'almost all have searchable results' or 'only small races have downloadable results or a long list on a website'

In mobile it was working fine until after logging in but logged in I get the white on mobile, too. This thread shows up because I'd already viewed it and could hit back--also navigates normally to "full site" to edit it if I get to my own post using the back button. But clicking the Padded room just gives white. Maybe reporting works...

So the stereo receiver is in a closet. It has to stay there, the speaker wires run to the closet. The wifi router is also in the same closet. I want to stream music from my phone but Bluetooth isn't strong enough to get into the closet even with a good Bluetooth receiver. I currently stream from an ipad that's in the closet but it's a pain in the ass sometimes.

How do I stream music from my phone in this situation? Is there like a bluetooth receiver that can connect to wifi that I could put out in the living area? Or can I somehow maybe get the ipad to be a slave to my phone and just mirror what I do on my phone? Or something? Help a brutha out.
