Wife got some T2 liners baked the other week for early season on fat fish scales. The tech at the shop about had a conniption and gave her the whole 75mm is going away and you better get NTN or you'll die talk.
He also said Scarpa is releasing their NTN touring boot soon.
Other people getting boot work done started asking what telemark skiing is.
It was an entertaining visit.

So I need to see if I can rehab my Chugachs. I need a master base magician in northern VT. The bases got salt burned and now even with a hot wax and good brush they won't glide. If I put on an incredible amount of paste wax they'll glide for a while before they start to cake up, rinse larger repeat. Otherwise I like the ski a lot. I'm wondering if I need to get them stone ground and say fuck it about the fish scales, grind those out with a Dremel.

I doubt it would hold up to tele turns with a plastic boot. Alpine turns probably

You're not wrong. I'm an XCD guy. And it's really fit I'm after. A removable moldable liner with some decent thickness so it can squish in the right places goes a long way. There's not enough give in the modern XC boots (Rossi, Fischer, etc) that have non-removable moldable liners. A plastic boot can also be punched.

Does anyone have a set of low (like T3 low) tongued liners in US11 (mondo 28 or 29 depending on era/brand) they are looking to clear out?

Play It Again Sports in South Burlington has a handful of Blue T2s in the small end of the size range. If anyone up here wears baby shoes and wants to refresh their old boots with more old boots.

^ I skied Jay Peak trees on a killer pow day on those boots with Rainey Superloops. Memories.

I have that sticker on the side of my helmet so a telemarker talking to me on the chair can see it
A group of telemarktips types came up to ski burnie hut, they had an extra day before flying in so I borrowed a van with a lot of seats and took em skiing at the hill
they bought me beer/ lunch and Lucy presented me with a stickerLee Lau - xxx-er is the laziest Asian canuck I know

Haven’t seen Lucy and Mark in a long time. Once randomly ran into Lucy and Sierra Fred touring up a Sierra drainage about 6 hours from the trailhead. Also randomly ran into telek on that same trip.

a great bunch, enough telewankers to fill a ski hut, some good skiers, I remember Lucy was really quite good, or at least seemed to fall less !
