Of course, the Dodgers would take the Giants to a game 5.

    Go Giants!

Now lets see who the Bravos will face; tough match up either way.
Yes on both counts. Supposedly Freeman wants to remain in Atl and the Braves want to keep him, just means working out the details.

Braves played both teams near the end of the season and did very well winning both series. They will go in with a much more rested bullpen and starting staff as advantages but still have the innate ability to go cold and get crushed or play way over their heads and on to face the AL.

Its going to be a good 3 weeks of baseball no matter the match ups.

irresistible force vs immovable object time
    2 best teams in Baseball
    1 game
    2 stud starters
    2 great bullpens
2 deep lineups with a few stars each missing and a few underperforming.

Love or hate the outcome, this is gonna be a hell of a game.

Agree 100%. Perfect climax to this phenomenal NL West season. I will hate it if we lose, but I'll have to to tip my hat and root hard for my second most hated team- the racist tomahawk chopping Braves. I literally have to turn the sound off during Braves games. Seeing tens of thousands while people chanting "wohohohhho" while 'tomahawk chopping' makes my stomach turn.

Best of 5 sucks, these teams shouldn't have met so early. Sucks for the Rays as well. But hey, at least we have a best of 7 CheaterBowl in the AL. That's new!

Yeah personally I'm really underwhelmed with these series.

I have zero desire to watch the 2017 cheaters face off against the 2018 cheaters. And for NL we have the racist fans/name team vs hopefully SF. Fuck LA.

That's the fans and not the team. What can you say except its Georgia.

Enjoying this Giants Dodgers series but after this MLB really needs to consider re-seeding in the playoffs. So dumb to have these two teams play in the first round in a 5 game series.

the Organization and MLB could shut it down in a heartbeat if they wanted.
Remember when my dad got to see Hank Arron hit 715 when we lived in ATL he was especially happy for him because of all the racist shit he heard people say to him and about him over the season.

Meh. That's no big. The wife beater will be in there by the 2nd or 3rd. The Giants don't really have a set line up and will mix and match as necessary.

You guys mean Georgia that went blue this last presidential election?

You can't just write off an entire state as racist because the chant the local baseball team has used has been called out as offensive.

Hyperbolic much? FFS, the term racist is used so loosely anymore it's losing meaning.

FWIW, I think the chop is stupid.

It's stupid in Missouri too, but that whole state must be racist as well so, hey.

I also strongly opposed moving the team to Cobb County, but you can hardly call that the suburbs. More people live and work in that immediate Perimeter submarket around Truist Park than do in all of Downtown Atlanta.

Money is the answer to most of your questions, not a stereotypical amalgamation of some yokel from the 1950s South you think pervades the city in 2021.

Not overt Racism but certainly an eye for a much more saleable product in a nice and safe setting. For what the city paid for that stadium and Battery complex (it is really fucking nice) they could have made a lot of improvements to the area around Turner Field. It is a sort of rough neighborhood down there and it certainly isn't Smyrna.

What an awful call. Does SF win without it? Probably not but that ump should be fired.

Those grapes are sour. Your team lost, convincingly. The rays lost, 3-1. Odds they would have come back and won 3 in a row are what 10%? Wha wha.
