Probably fairly simple now with most resorts using RFID for passes.

agree will have to show proof when buying pass day or seasons, for seasons probably have to state your vaxxed online and then show proof first day

B.C. reinstates province-wide mask mandate for indoor public spaces

No mention of it yesterday. Today's school rules press conference slipped it in.

Did you have to isolate somewhere near the border whilst you waited on your test results coming back?

No. You take the test and drive off. It's basically one of those home tests and they just run you through the process and then keep your sample rather than you needing to put it in the mail. They send you a results link through email, and it was something like 48 hours later.

Wonder how this will affect ski areas. Obviously lodges, but are they going to apply it to enclosed lift access like gondolas? You can only ride chairlifts? Or they won’t even bother with the hassle of trying to police that and just won’t allow you on any lift.

Are you guys racist and trying to keep minorities out of BC?

Cause and effect need to be thoroughly fleshed out before making blanket declarations.

This has pretty much zero to do with who can enter B.C. It's about what people can and cannot do who are in B.C.

Oh hunny, try and keep up. The article discussed racial disparity in NYC because Canada is too dumb to properly track like the rest of the cultured western world. Here. Digest.

    https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/how-t...d-19-1.6060900

CBC News compared COVID-19 data published by every province and region. Only a handful publish data on race, income, occupation and neighbourhood-specific breakdowns of infections and vaccinations — information that health officials and community leaders say helps them intervene quickly in hotspots.

The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) requests this data from the provinces, but spokesperson Anna Madison said it is selectively and inconsistently reported, with only half of provinces sending data on race and occupation.

If there are future waves of COVID-19, or other new health crises, most parts of the country will be flying blind, putting racialized Canadians and those in frontline occupations at risk, say researchers and community leaders interviewed by CBC News.

"South of the border, they've got data on income, race, occupation, which shows disparities. In the U.K., they've got data on race, income and occupation, which shows disparities," said Dr. Kwame McKenzie, CEO of the Wellesley Institute, an urban health think-tank in Toronto.

"In Canada, we're not collecting. So something's going wrong."

Is it possible that some Canadian provincial governments think that it is racist to track which races are getting vaxxed and which are not?

Blanket restrictions without determining if a policy is affecting races disproportionately is simply bad policy.

Thanks for helping prove my point.

    Try again.

Certain postal codes are heavy with certain races of people here in Canada. Here in Ontario, they targeted hot spots for vaccine pop-ups and allotments based on postal codes. Also, immigrant stats are being tracked, and the information is actually pretty damn easy to find. This strategy appears to have worked quite well, and your desire to break things down more granularly by race doesn't even appear to be necessary.

Here's the data that according to you isn't being tracked. I've even gone to the liberty of highlighting a couple "diverse" areas for you:

Thank you for again proving my point.

According to your graph: Refugees, recent OHIP residents, and other immigrant groups have markedly lower vaccine rates than Long Term Residents/Canadian Born.

These blanket policies are disproportionately affecting minority groups due to their lower vaccination rates. That's racist. That's my point. Your data proves it. Thanks.

It's not my graph. You're making a false assumption that these groups also have the same willingness to get vaccinated in the first place. They don't. I guess that proves your point too, whatever it is.

Until it becomes mandatory to get vaccinated here, we're going to have these disparities.

Ah yes, the US vs THEM mentality. The emperor would be proud.

    Congratulations, you played yourself.

I think they shipped in their southern 3 tooth hicks to protest trudeau. We've definitely have our fair share of deplorables. Single moms, crackheads and alcies looking for someone to blame for their poor choices while theyre fed conspiracy after conspiracy on facebook and youtube. Justin needs to sack up and put a chretien choke hold on a few of those fkn mutants. There needs to be consequences for facebook, yt, fox lies. Enough is enough. I just want to hear the issues not this brain dead drama

Apparently some of the people seen causing a scene in Ontario were also out in Surrey BC. They're definitely paid actors - this is some Roger Stone level bullshit. Hope it backfires tremendously otherwise this American-style stupidity will become the norm up here.

I'm seeing mixed information online.... for those of you who have traveled to Canada from the US: are US citizens required to get a negative CoVid test to re-enter the country on return? Or are they exempt?

You are required to if you are flying. You don't need one if you're crossing by land (or water).
