I've been sort of interested in this car, but haven't gotten around to test driving. One of the frequent complaints I've seen in reviews is that the transmission shifts oddly, so YMMV.
Oh good. Aisins are typically very reliable. Been the trans choice of Toyota for decades for good reason. Volvo made the switch some time ago too. Good to know Buick sourced it from them too. Could be ok then.

Here is a nice Ford wagon, could be a '56. My wife saw this beauty in Matanzas, Cuba, earlier this year:

Someone is targeting Audi Avants for grand theft in my neighborhood. There are 4 S4 wagons in the neighborhood, including mine and all but mine were boosted this week (I know all the owners) along with 3 or 4 A4 avants. I dont drive mine much and it is parked out-of-sight in my alley, so maybe that is saving me. These guys havent been caught and apparently there is no video/photo evidence yet beyond an eye witness account of a botched theft with a silver Avant (stolen from a neighbor) speeding away.

I've been meaning to put up cameras in the alley anyway, so its probably time for me to pull the trigger. Whats the newest and best anti-theft device? A club? A boot? I'm going to try to box the Audi in with another car and maybe get a cover. It's not the most valuable thing in the world but I'd prefer not to deal with these cunts.

A locked garage? Or in my case, just park it in the driveway and lock the gates with two big dogs on the prowl.

Are you where things will stay frozen? Get out there with the hose and soak the place down, build up about an inch of ice so if someone tries to get near the car they go down. Hard.

I guess they were pretty sophisticated because there was no broken glass left behind and one guy reported only about 20 mins between when he parked his and when he went back outside to find it gone. Other than that, I've no idea. I'm going to box in my Audi with my DD and with my luck, they will steal both to get to the Audi. It will serve one of those bastards right though to have to drive a hybrid for any amount of time.

Buster, keep on eye on yours as it seems there is some Gone in 60 seconds over seas order shit going on here.

Vibes to those guys Art. Hope yours stays safe.

A poison pill hybrid is a very innovative solution in my opinion.

And if it gets lifted you can brag to some crunchers that you even had your car stolen in a “green” manner.

I wonder if they're taking allroads. Getting mine stolen would probably work out better for me in the long run.
