It's a race to see who can get more open by the weekend, Crystal which has, so far, gotten more natural snowfall but is pretty green at this snowmaking thing, or Mission Ridge, which is forecasted to get a substantial amount of snow (possibly another 2-3 FEET) and has been blowing snow longer than I've lived here, pulling off Thanksgiving weekend openings seven of the last eight seasons. Regardless, it all looks to go to shit next week as the snow level rebounds to above 4k so get it while there's something there to get!

What’s the conversion between a Vinch and a Alinch (Altera Inch)? The race for flat terrain by Black Friday is highly amusing. Any idea on uphill policy past the low level lifts?

    hmmm...

Ikon inch should be a kinch
Epic Inch should be a Pinch
    Vail inch should maintain Vinch

Until otherwise validated with empirical evidence, 1 standard u.s. inch = 1.25 kinch/vinch/pinch

The anomoly is Baker inches. where 1 Baker inch, now officially called binches, is 1.0 US inches = 0.5 binches. Because, although I make it up there maybe 6-8 days a season, that place consistently always has way way more snow than they share in a snow report. I swear once you are two lift poles above the base area, just double the snow report.

EDIT: Might be cheaper at the window if Chair 1 is all that spins. That is all that's officially scheduled to be open, FYI.

If you're for sure gonna be there saturday:

Or if you want to be flexible:

I’m in town for a big family Thanksgiving gathering. Will be around Thursday-Sat. Definitely skiing mission Friday, but might be able meet up for Saturday turns too. Anybody else skiing Friday?

That’s a long way to drive to shred Mimi’s. I don’t think they have any thing else prepped yet. Hope it’s more, but I only have a 15 minute drive

My drive is a whopping 25 minutes, but I wouldn’t drive 4 hrs for chair 1. Which then made me think “do 2funky and LWS have more info about what might open?”
