Omar = proper kitteh name.
Our critters have been unmotivated to go out now that it's cooled off a bit. There's fierce competition for beds and lately Hobbes has been invading Ugly's fuzzy house pretty regularly. He usually flattens the thing and sleeps on top of it so she had to go through the process of re-shaping it before getting in. Yesterday he finally noticed her in there, looked confused for a while, and climbed on top of the thing. Serious hissing ensued and Hobbes ran of. He stole her spot inside and hasn't been out since...

Kitty Stoke
Life hacks for teh kittehs:
Honcho lives with Djongo and his roommate. Roommate is a super cool guy in his mid-80’s and an OG rancher whose family settled in Jackson Hole in the 1800’s. Djongo is not really a caretaker, but it certainly helps the old guy out having a younger guy around. Anyway the old guy pretty much spends most of his day in a comfy chair watching sports. But Honcho, like most kittys, needs attention and likes being brushed. So the old guy needed a stiff bristled brush with a long handle to brush Honcho with. He uses this...
I’m sure it is clean and sanitary, and was never used for its original purpose. Pretty good idea IMHO. Honcho loves it. Old guy loves it. Win-win.
Bonus pic of Honcho from my visit to JH last month. Very chill cat, great personality.

And then there were two.
Haven't seen Max since yesterday around 1pm. He's never spent the night out (not a brave kitty) and last night it got down to 20. Looked everywhere for him. Called until I was hoarse. Sigh. Going to miss you mashed potato.
Edit/add:
OMG OMG OMG! I just found him! I went in to the shop and called him for the 100th time and I heard the tiniest meow. He was was in the back up on a shelf behind some boxes. Wish he would have answered me last night when I was in there calling him but all is forgiven. I FOUND HIM! HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY!Last edited by KQ; 11-21-2019 at 08:49 AM.

Thanks - sorry for the posting but it had been a miserable night without him. The bed seemed so cold and empty and I had bad dreams about him. Honestly, I had been back in that corner yesterday looking for him and he didn't make a peep. I think I made my last check of the shop around 9:30p and nothing. I'd had it open until 5p then shut it up for the night so he was in there the whole time.
He is a skittish cat and only usually goes out on the patio never straying far.
So very very happy I found him as is his sister!
Say there 4matic is that the top of a covered little pan? You should check this house out that I got for my barn cats - it's called a pet barn (size 3). I bought it through Chewy but a lot of places carry it. I have an Aspen self-heating bed in it (they have a Mylar blanket sewn in them) and a cheap Wal-mart $2.50 fleece throw. Prior to the barn I just had the bed and blanket on the hay stack but the barn is open to the east so there can be a breeze and of course they loose heat off the side they have up when they are laying down. I feel this keeps the drafts off them and traps some heat. Only vented along the top back edge.
I think all three can fit in there but Juliet sometimes like her own space hence the cat cave next to the barn (also from Chewy).“When you see something that is not right, not just, not fair, you have a moral obligation to say something. To do something." Rep. John Lewis

Yeah, top of the litter box. I took it off because Chao was wearing the cone. It's not cold here so it's more of a playhouse as both cats have access to indoor shelter. I couldn't get them to go in the actual house pictured next to it.

I turned my back for two minutes and Miss Mayhem was up on the counter chowing down my lunch I had just spent 15 minutes preparing. She'd make some damn fine furry mittens.

Cat on the counter = disaster. That's the only line I've refused to cross even now that we're completely invaded by cats, no cats on surfaces that are used for food. Ms Boissal thinks it's cute but having to defend my breakfast from a perpetually hungry mini-tiger isn't something I enjoy.
I keep telling Artie I'm going to make him into a furry hat if he continues being a shithead. Keep the front paws so you can tie the thing under your chin and the tail for style points. He doesn't take the threat seriously...

You kick a cat in the ass hard enough, you got a instant warm furry slipper. Need two for bilateral symmetry though.

^^^ would not work with Hobbes. She's so brazen lately she'll jump on the bar when I'm eating and literally lunges at the food. I'd have to keep that lid on at all times and only lift it for a second to get a fork in there but she's faster with her paw...
