That place is definitely going to ski differently...
Hopefully there's still enough left that it'll hold snow and not all blow away

I know you all already know what Friends of Berthoud Pass is all about, but just a heads up that this year's free avalanche awareness classes start up next week.
    https://www.berthoudpass.org/event-schedule.html
Most of the classes are in the Denver metro but there are a dates in Winter Park, Salida, and Vail for you mountain mags as well.

Place looks great. Thy did a very nice job. Good to see that there are trees that lived through the beetle event. This will give them room to grow.

Sounds like WP opens up on Saturday. Anyone know if it will be the normal crappy green runs that will be open or will there be more betterer runs open with the new snowmaking they invested in?

I'm not in the know, but I'm POSITIVE it's gonna be a bunch of shitty green runs that are open.

2° at the trailhead. Wind wasn't so bad as the Indian Peaks go. Hit zero rocks, stumps or sticks. Awesome to get out there.

^^^^ A mediocre zone in Nederland where a ton of snow blows in. It's in between two far more popular zones that tend to be more windblown and less deep. Happy to share details via pm. Or take you up there.

I literally don't even know where those runs even are.

Edit: I checked the map. Now I know why I didn't know where those trails were.

Looks like they're only opening a little beginner chair. Seriously, is that WP? Fuck that shit. Sounds like Molly Hogan terrain at Abasin is what WP will open. Lame AF.

I did. Wasn't too bad with the cold actually. Just a couple laps on the hanging meadow since it's usually pretty shark free then went over to the current creek side and tip toed around a bit. Not bad.
