70 EB closed before 7am. What an obvious welcome back moving back from Utah. Hahah

Add in the Front Range level crowds, and I can't say I blame you.

Pure comedic gold on my 3 hour round trip from downtown Denver to DIA and back. Vehicles scattered off the road everywhere, sliding sideways and into each other.
To be fair, the roads are horrendous and CDOT plowing sucks balls. I’ve never lived in a metro area with worse plowing.

CDOT is massively understaffed from what I understand. Begging for drivers.

That whole CDOT thing is pure, unadulterated SOCIALISM.

We should have private companies doing all that stuff.

    OFFICIAL I70 BITCH THREAD....

Apparently there were 96 crashes in a 3 hour period. Lots of bald tires and bad driving for sure but the plowing was non-existent. I saw two plows in 3 hours between Denver and DIA. Fuck you CDOT!

What's the point of munchies if you have to pass a drug test???
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

This morning's commute was a good training session for ski season. 1:45 for my normal 20 minute drive. Lots of carnage.

I bet I-70 closes tomorrow morning pretty early on by some unprepared cross country drivers traveling through the state.

Serious curious: I am typically listening to XM on my drive. Sometimes it will stay on all the way through the tunnel. Sometimes not. Seems like EB has higher chances staying on.
Do they have antennas, does it ping pong from other cars, or what? Hell, it goes out going under overpasses so there has to be something cuz generally get at least a couple hundred yards.

It might depend on how fast you drive through the tunnels and how much memory your radio has. I never get through either direction without losing a song

They have a satellite positioned at exactly the right spot to aim your signal through the tunnel.

See, now this is what I was going with. Like some interstellar William Tell.
Or that memory thingy...I have gotten through a number or times without losing signal. It just really depends how much I like the song. If I like it, it's a goner.

I70 WB closed west of Vail Pass Summit due to a crash.

    Happy Monday.
