Id be surprised at long term animosity if they are winning, but I have a hard time not imagining the players that didn't go not being a bit chafed by white boys that did the opposite of having their backs. But it's Boston.

Im surprised the latest White House misspelling didn't call them the Boston White Red Socks
Not at all, I'm just saying outside of the select metro areas, even places like Idaho or Mass are 30% Dem or 30% Republican respectively and people work and interact with different political belief structures everyday. Sure there are exceptions to the rule, but not everything turns into a political grudge match. I think baseball players are used to seeing a lot of different perspectives, even more so than most folks, and this is probably not that big a deal.

Do you get in political arguments with your coworkers regularly to the point of holding grudges?

I think RS organization is handling it right. Rather than taking a team stance that everyone should or shouldn't go, let each player make up their own minds. I think that would be more divisive than what is happening now.

Tebow having a rough time in Mets AAA.
As of this am, he was at .131, and rated officially as the worst player in the MiLB at present. Chances for the show don't look promising.

This has always been about promoting the person not the player imo. He never passed the eye test.

Though if the Mets keep this up and the fans lose interest by early August...

Yeah, son in law played with him in Low A ball in Columbia SC, then both were promoted to High A in St. Lucie Florida. Anthony liked him as a person.

I got to see him in action a several times. He just doesn't look like a baseball player. He struggled there, but managed to stay in the low 200's. Struggled this spring on the invite to big league camp.

Pedroia back on the IL. I love the guy but it might be time for him to hang it up. Especially with Chavis playing so well.

He’d be a great backup but it would suck for him to ride the pine his last couple of years.

    He needs to pray harder.

Meanwhile, some of the ol' USC drama is rubbing off on Los Doyers. Fuck.

Sale strikes out 17 through 7 innings tonight and doesn't get the win.

I'm a huge fan of the RS bullpen as currently constructed.

Dodgers are looking pretty good. Maybe some addition by subtraction getting rid of Puig. 5 shutouts in the last 9 games isn’t hurting either.

They really suck, though. I was just saying today that I can't listen to Yankee baseball on the radio, a citizen's right, as far as I'm concerned, because of those two. And today I was subjected to possibly the absolute worst in TV broadcast booth pairings. Paul O'Neil and Michael Kay. Why, lord, why? What did I do to deserve this?

So, what's the deal with the camo caps today? More militaristic merchandising from the MLB fascists?
