The Norwegians not only have unreal mountains and ski like demons, they also make very interesting skis.

For those of you looking for a lighter EHP, or a slimmer Protest, have a look at the SGN Togga and Togga Light.

    Yes, they are pricey...

Good comparison(ptest/ehp blend). Little out of my price range but a shorter togga light would be a perfect addition for me. Nice weights, 30m radius and generous taper in a 120 waist sounds $

These look awesome. Not only the shapes, but the topsheets as well. Plus, I like their size charts. I'm sure it prevents a flood of emails asking what size to buy.

Way too expensive for me, too. I can't even imagine what they would be landed in NZ :-P If we find ourselves in Nooorvay one day, though.

I fondled a pair of Toggas in Japan, and they really, really are nice. By the look of the website, all their skis are (agree about the topsheets, DB).

Great looking skis - design and topsheet. I think Blister reviewed the 1184 (gone now?) and really liked it, fwiw.

    Man they're pretty! And expensive!

Since you brought it up though, I've skied/toured a lot on the 193 EHP and now use Down's 190 SD115 Carbon - it IS a lighter 'moderner' EHP. Same unique feel in a lighter package: http://www.downskis.com/14-15-skis/showdown-115

I would really like to try a pair of the Tunnelvisjon. I'm going to be keeping an eye out for these guys. Good find!

Yup. I've checked them out in the shop a few times. Nice skis.....but I'd compare them as much to Renegades as to EHPs

Bump. Anyone actually ski these? The non-carbon version is being sold off pretty cheap these days.

For foreigners, probably the SGN site. https://www.sgnskis.com/outlet There's supposed to be a way to subtract VAT (25%). Only 176 and 194 left.

From the video, it looks like the mount points are well centered/newschooly.

I hope that's the case, but I couldn't find mount locations/specs on the site.

    Perfect.

Now all we need is a flex profile or someone fondling them on video.

The non-carbon is medium stiff. Can't really compare to something recent. Maybe similar to the old ON3P tour lay-up. Very even flex throughout the ski. Feels great for a pow ski.

The carbons are medium/stiff, also very even throughout the ski. Stiffer tips/tail than BGs, but softer underfoot? Maybe, I'm not sure. Feels a bit too stiff for the weight.

Nice. Hope they work out for you. They are going to ski pretty short, me thinks.
On the fence between 186/194 myself, but will probably go with the 186s for powder touring and short tours from the lifts.

I think there are 2 distinctly different camps here on TGR. As much fun as that shape looks, I don’t think I have the skin track skills to ascend on a fully rockered ski. But the weight to fun ratio doesn’t get better than that ^^^ setup.

Sort of wish the URrakker had a carbon version.

What does shipping to the states run?

Yeah, never really had a problem with slipping. I use the G3 High Traction skins for heavily rockered skis.
Have no idea about shipping. Probably a lot, but I don't know. But they'll subtract norwegian VAT when exporting.

No problem, been a few months, but I think I remember correct.
If any of you actually consider a pair of SGNs, let me know, and I'll drop by a retailer to have a look.
