Whilst skiing at a mountain which someone here was once stuck at, I saw some guy take his rental skis into the bathroom stall with him.

Pray tell Ms. Bear, you've never been to the particular ski area mentioned, the former stomping grounds of the erstwhile gentleman we colloquially know as Stucky?

Things are kids. Children. Rug rats. Porch monkeys. Little bastards that pile up and get in the way of the lift maze.

Pretty sure that's not the normal usage of porch monkey. Might want to be careful where you're throwing that phrase around.

Well considering this is a ski forum he is probably safe due to skiing demographics but definitely not the proper use or something you want to throw around

I understand splitting skis in the racks as a theft deterrent. I don't understand putting them in nearly empty adjacent racks facing each other. Does this guy understand why you split up your skis?

I was telling a guy on the lift about this. He had once had his skis split up and had one stolen. He found it in the parking lot along with someone else's stolen ski. The thief dumped them when he realized he's stolen 2 different skis.

You know that might just be enough to make sure your skis aren't the ones stolen...

Ha, I didn't notice him. He belongs to the snowboard on the left. I waited for him to walk away. Poor guy must have thought I was taking a picture of him. Guy, if you're reading--sorry.

Best Gaper qoute of the weekend?

When you work at a ski area you know that parking lot snow is suspect. I was just watching a big white trash family playing in the snow. One of the kids picked up a big hidden dog bomb and smeared it on his brother’s face. Hilarity ensued.

I don’t think anyone is stealing those skis anyways...

That's generally the case with the skis that people split or lock up.

Yeah I get that but I don’t think a lot of old K2s with demo bindings are getting stolen
