They don't bother me, even as a single planker. I'm used to them now.
I'd be fine with a little more grooming at MJ. Be nice to rip a few of those runs on fresh corduroy once in a while.
Anyway, yeah, a little get together be sweet!

I'm a terrain skier. I prefer steep, rocky, littered with trees.

I'll get into golf when I'm old.

Sometimes you eat the bear, and sometimes, well, he eats you.

Come to MJ sometime, let someone show you around. You may find more steep, rocky, littered with trees than you realized was there. It will truly be treed, not just a tree here or there, but MJ has a metric shitton of it. Of course, with that kind of tree cover, the pitch is not as steep as something without the trees, but still steep.

I've probably skied there 40 days over 20 years. I've found some stashes. Knew some patroller a while back and they would take us out. I like it better than Steamboat for sure.

Poor pup was in pretty rough shape, but doing okay from what I heard.

For me, the RMSP benefits are
trees at MJ, along with much lower hassle there (free parking, much less traffic, etc)
Options for travel further afield (Crested Butte, Steamboat)
A Summit County option and a non-I-70 option (Copper and Eldo)

But honestly, I buy the RMSP+ every year and mostly just ski WP/MJ.
    These are all good reasons.

I've actually been tempted the past couple of seasons to get the RMSP+, just to switch up the terrain that I am skiing. I like Spaulding bowl at copper a lot and I think having winter park would be nice to spend less time on I70

Rode up and around the Beav early this morning. All the usual spots are still pretty green. LOTS of bear poop around and it was cold on the bike.

There was a day 3 or 4 years ago where it was frosting and misting snow in Denver. This was mid September. Your memory must not be very good, haha!

I am certainly enjoying the cooler weather, wish there was a bit more moisture with it too, but I'll take what I can get. Looks like we are (most likely) done with the 85 degree days for the year.

Was there? Totally don't remember that.
Today feels like a crappy Boston damp fall day. I'm sure it just feels worse because it was almost 90° yesterday.

    Incorrect. It feels awesome.

Perfect for a morning bike ride. Followed by riding to Hops & Pie for a Saturday Session. And now cornbread and chili in the works at home with some Chet Baker on the radio and a porter in the glass. Fuck. May even make a little fire in the ole fireplace tonight.

Oh yeah, and it's snowing at Loveland.

Yesterday I was fishing the South Platte and was commenting how fucking hot it was; today was bone chilling cold. This year I'm having a harder time letting go of summer.
