yep, Mikey's a rock star. 120 ft acid heli-drops and he used to date Victoria.

I'm always amazed that he takes most of his own shots. I didn't even know a camera remote could work from that far away. That heli-shot has been around since at least last season, but people seem to be discovering it this year, and I'm always happy to see it again. One of my favorites.

    I dig this one too.

I still can't figure out how he got up there.

    Damn.

Pretty cool that he still has the presence of mind to snap the pics when he's falling from that high up.

    yeah, timer or remote?

so he gets the heli to drop him on one peak, he sets up the cam, and then the heli picks him off the peak again, he jumps out, rides down, heli picks him again, goes and gets the cam. thats a lot effort. wicked pissah shot though.

He used to be condsidered just a young punk with huge balls that went big. Cool to see him producing such cool and creative stuff...and showing that he is as crazy as ever.

P.S. Everyone knows Mike hates woodworking. He would never buy my router.

But then he gets paid when he sells the photo. Probably enough to buy a brand new dee-lux router, if he liked woodworking.

if i was him i'd just invite you along to shoot it. then i would pay you with the router my red-tail hawk bought on the internet. that way i could rip three more lines in the time it had taken me to set up the self portrait and get three shots in stead of one which = three more dope routers for meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

But that's how everybody and their brother thinks the ski industry works. Realistically, after paying for an extra seat for me you might only get a handsaw and a laser level for those three shots. If you're LUCKY. It's a tough biz, for sure.

But having a cameraman around to say how sick you are and to dole out FMs when needed is invaluable for today's pro-hos. They like to be stroked.

good point, however you are not taking into consideration the pull my hawk Thelonious has with helo operators. we'll get you're seat for free, and you get the router. trust me, it will work out. call me.
