I've seen them and they are very cool looking with a see through base and top sheet to a wood core I'm pretty sure. Also pretty sure they have slight rocker tip and tail with a camber under foot. partial cap type type sheet into a laminate sidewall (I think). I may get a chance to check on some of these details again as I have a cheque to pick up.

BTW 2 lengths 177 &185. 110 under foot and 134 at tip for 19m radius on the 185 I think.

It's not so much the model year, it's the high mileage or meterage to keep the youth of Canada happy

    I liked 'em.

They also have a nice tip rocker and "mini" rocker or early rise tail... Was considering these as an option for my pRaxis BCs, when there was no word of 'em.

Full woodcore. The partial cap is just cosmetic.

Liked'em better than Coax. They were, however, pretty center mounted and that meant that on harder conditions the tips felt really short... This was fixed by moving the democlamps back a bit.

Have you skied the bentchetler? If so, how do they compare in terms of flex. I'm seriously considering bentchetlers, but I'm not sure if 123 mm underfoot is too much.

Blog... Nah, the actual difference between the JJ and Cheitler is pretty much nil. JJ might be stiffer under foot but it's tips and tails are softer. Cheitler has pretty much an even flex (stiffer than JJ tip&tail but softer than JJ center).

Plus the Blog is a different beast than either the JJ or Cheitler. The tail rocker is pretty minimal (you could prolly call it a long rise tail) and the actual reg. cambered part is a lot longer. Cheitler and JJ have about 1.3 m running lenght in the longest lenght... Blog is a lot closer to 1.5 or 1.6 m.

    Wrong!

To huge-go, the bent chetlers are stiffer than the blog. I'd say 20% or so.

The blogs have less rocker, and are a little narrower. I actually thought the bentchetlers were quicker edge to edge with the increased rocker, but they are both sweet skis. Its a real shame the BCs are so damn ugly. They are really fun. Probably not as good in the untracked pow as my EPs, but would be a lot better everywhere else on the mountain on pow days after everything is tracked out.

    Hope this helps

Thanks, that helps a bunch. Definitely makes me want the bentchetlers more. And I actually like the graphics, so that isn't a problem. The night trains are also calling my name. And the JJ's. It's horrible. I'm going to have a tough decision to make come ski buying time.

Yes, they certainly felt like that.... NOT.

Of course, Atomic might have changed the stiffness according to the size. But the 183 Cheitlers were a lot softer than the 18? Blogs.

Atomic could make such better ski names than "Blog."

    "Warhead"
    "Blast"
    "Winter"
    "Bomb"
    "Fission"
    "Fusion"
    "Test Site"
    "Mushroom Cloud"

    etc.

The 185 Blog was something around 25m or so. I would assume the 177 has a shorter turn radii. Oh, an around 10cm or rocker (and 110 waist)

Coax felt a tad turnier in the middle lenght. Lengths 174, 183 and 192, 105mm waist.

I could prolly dig up the exact specs, but not really interested.
