Tram Face Video: Squaw Valley, USA
OK - Here you go, enjoy!!
Just before dawn this morning, two skiers and a snowboarder descended Sylvester’s Slot off Tram Face in Squaw Valley, USA. UnofficialSquaw’s corespondent Double McGuffin was up early “walking his dog” when he saw three people making their way over to the hanging snowfield skiers right of Tram Chute. He was able to grab his video camera and caught the whole thing on tape.

That's got to be the slowest poach I have ever seen. JH Trollers would have popped the them before the third guy made his 1st turn in the days of the JHAF/JH Patrol. I would call it Slow(skied slow, but also one at a time which is correct), Loud( because the guy walking his dog had his tripod so it was probably not chance), Close(since it is is in your face) instead of the swift, silent, deep of JH poaching. It is a sick line though. It needs to get hit. Lines like that are meant for skiing, not looking at. Nice work.

I would echo everyone above. Also, not to armchair quarterback, but from the vantage point it seemed to be sketchy backcountry protocol. Yes it got skied one at a time, but on the way down to the choke the snowboarder cuts above the skier, with both of them in the middle of the pitch. If a slide went, he just buried his buddy and possibly himself.
Sick line though...

That is some very sick terrain to ski before dawn.

"Up on a predawn walk with the dog i spotted what looked like three skiers on top of the hanging snow field. I suspected someone was going to ski tramface seeing as it is in perfect condition and Squaw didn't pull the trigger on the contest. As the sun quickly began to filter through the valley I booked it to my car, grabbed my camera, and posted up in the middle of the main parking lot. I was just in time and this is what i captured." Powder snow skiing is not fun. It’s life, fully lived, life lived in a blaze of reality. What we experience in powder is the original human self, which lies deeply inside each of us, still undamaged in spite of what our present culture tries to do to us. Once experienced, this kind of living is recognized as the only way to live–fully aware of the earth and the sky and the gods and you, the mortal, playing among them. Dolores LaChapelle

Would she know what she was seeing or do you figure she'll read it here?
Nice job on the fix.
