there's a spot on the helmet cam (very visible in the first few frames) a little to the top and left of frame centre.

otherwise i came here to say "damn, he's smooth". i want my skiing to be that smooth when i grow up.

we were able to get rid of the spot, but had some technical difficulties with that camera. I am pretty sure Seth got it dialed eventually.

You guys managed to get your hands on a RED?...those things look evil.

Don't they have burst recording of like 200fps? Benefits of having Oakley athletes I guess...

    Way cool.

We shot a large chunk of Sammy Carlson's seg with it. As well as shots with Sage, Dylan, Wiley, and Taylor Felton. It is an impressive camera. We will have some shots up from it soon.

Great to see (or not see, pardon the pun) that the 'spot' is gone.

And I thought the mellow music was more effective. The skiing speaks for itself.

    RE: the Blue-Ray question

Right now the cost of making an HD DVD is more than people are selling in action sports, so we will not be this year. That being said all of our films from Tangerine Dream on are mastered in HD and when the cost comes down on these and a few more people get them we will retro release all films since TD on Blue-Ray. We can't wait!

kind of a dumb question...would a HD download be possible? assuming you could find a way to regulate it or something. how big would the file be? (level 1 did this a while ago). or is the quality i'm getting on dvd about the same?

If you download our HD podcast you can get an idea of the quality that is achievable. The Apple TV unit plays it and it looks great. We will eventually release as a download as well, but long after the dvd run. I think that this is where its going.
