    Why are high school football players such assholes?

    Because they already know that within a few years they'll be fat, balding shoe salesmen with nothing but a few good years to look back on.

    //At least skiers can get back on the field season after season instead of having to watch pros do it for them when they hit 18 or 22 -- depending on whether they make it in college.

    I was at a rail jam this weekend with 60 boarders and 7 skiers.
    Granted: skiing looks gay to me with those poles and ski thingys that keep falling off.
    I noted: The two top place finishers both declined the seasons pass because they go to school out of state. Humble, down to earth, rippers! I was most impressed with them over the boarders. Tim Phillips was one of them who got more runs in than anyone else. Even though he declined the prize, he still ran up the hill during the finals. Getting after it!
