Tecnica Mach 1 130 LV gives my skinny ankles and heels excellent hold. After a couple hundred days I had to have L pads put in them. Even with the spoilers out I can get the top buckle tight enough in the looser of the two buckle mounting holes provided. Fairly high instep I think, I've put in some Bontex shims so that I can keep the lower buckles super loose, which helps with my plantar neuromas. Again, I didn't need to do this until I had over 100 days in them.

Tiny foot, narrow heel, and small calf club here. I switched from the Lange RS 130/140 to the Head Raptor 140 RS and it’s been really awesome. First non-plug boot that actually fits and is stiff enough to not collapse on me. Check it out, it’s a good boot.

Out of curiosity, what didn't work for you on your old CASTified Lange's?

The top of the foot/ankle was too small. They were the ZBs, and the plug was just a bit too low volume.

That's encouraging. I've ordered a pair of the 2mm Ezeefitsports liners, hopefully they'll help with heel lift in my Atomic Backlands (which fit perfectly everywhere else).

Rad, good luck, they are really good boots, just a little too low of an instep
