Pretty good shot, but not sure I’m hitting this one again. Rough landing
Lots of laps w kids in the yard and small bike park nearby
Helped build this ~2 bike length gap few years ago, but hadn’t ridden it until yesterday. Fun knocking off new features

I think it’s rained on me 75% of the time I’ve ridden this trail. Not complaining.

Only pic I took today, because the fly situation is quite epic right now. Damn, that was bad. Constantly flying in our helmet vents and driving us bat shit crazy (in addition to the biting horse flys).

A buddy and I started the process of getting new intermediate trails built in Whistler's south end about 8 years ago now, got it planned and approved with WORCA and 4 years ago we started ongoing trail nights to construct the trail. The community really took it on as their own, and last night we had an 'official' opening ride for the volunteers. 10 km of trail, almost all volly built, super fun for beginners and intermediates, being upgraded for adaptive, and just a ripping good time for advanced riders too. Super special to enjoy riding it with so many long time friends and especially my wife and son. This was T.odd Jr's first pedal on it, he did ride the first completed section on the macride a couple years ago. 3rd day on his 20" with gears and he was crushing it, full heart!

Some magical ass soil…
… in some magical ass woods. Pretty awesome to call this place home (when it’s not on fire).

Can't see that one? Phil, piotr and I were pretty paranoid about fires coming in and nuking the views so we've been getting our view rides in while we can. Terrible news for Jasper. Rode there 15+ years ago. Drove thru and the forest was full of red dead trees 3 years ago
Valley trails still have moisture

SW BC tends to have dry spells in July August sometimes going deep into September.
Last year for eg was unusual. We had something like 2 months with just 8mm of rain in Whistler. Soil and forest were tinder dry and we were all terrified of fires as fost management around here isn't the best. Made for nice autumn colours though
