Ooof that's rough. Heal up. Lost time concussions are fucking scary. You end up questioning your memory for months after.

x2 to a light FF with the latest tech if he's going to ride silly shit. An extra $100-150 for brains is always worth it. The new enduro FFs like TLD Stage and Fox Proframe are really nice, and really not much of a penalty to wear / carry.

glad that he is OK- and hoping all other tests turn out positive

was he by himself to lose those 5 hours? yikes

keep us posted if you have the time, but imagine you will be busy being both parents and caretaker- hopefully just temporarily
We'll all be thinking about your family
He seems to be turning a corner today for the better. Up a bit more, eating really well.. Still though no screens and only talk on the phone if he must. Resting less which is a good, he was sleeping 16-18 hrs since Saturday night. We're keeping the house very dim, blinds closed most the day. Just want to heal as best as he can. His back is still bugging him but he wants to give it another few days since some of the soreness he's felt is already gone. He's most definitely done riding for the year.
Oh, and he wasn't alone, lots of people around but no one really took him seriously that he was NOT ok for over 40 mins. SO wish I was there just for that. No one should have left him after he walked away down the hill!

Not gonna lie, I had the same thought.

Hey Dan, had this done yesterday. Let me know if you want to be crippled together.

The last ride of the season made up for it though....

When fall turns to winter too quickly, we break out the fat tires.

Sorry about your collarbone, YourMomJustCalled. That sucks.

Sorry to see this turn into a carnage thread suddenly. Hopefully everyone heals well and misses no snow days!

Ignore the frozen ground and white garnish for the time being, though; it's still riding season, damit.

Still getting some, but you gotta get up early to avoid the tenacious bentonite mud. Panchosdad takes in the view.

    Fat tires, but no snow.

And the view from the top.
