Great backcountry ride on the Idaho side of the Centennials with a local badass and his chainsaw on Saturday. Nice to ride with a group of 5 in this country and the chainsaw noise hopefully helps too!

    1) that's cool.

    2) I wonder if it's better than riding with the saw in a pack. I'm not sure.

    3) His drivetrain was really fucking with my head until I realized its the wheel of the camper that I'm looking at.

A-ha I finally figured out who Mild Wille might be. Met you at last year's Mile Creek work day. What did you clear in the Centennials?

Aldous Lake to Taylor Creek on Saturday and then CDT Southwest of Raynolds Pass (across highway form Mile Creek) on Sunday. Sunday's weather was much colder with some snow flurries

En route to trails this morning..... but freshly graded and would have been good gravel riding if you are into that.

Very cool to see so much trail in a single shot like that.

That does look so sweet. I can't get over how moist it all looks, my carcass shell organ wants to be there so badly right now.

I'm curious what the switchback turn looks like to the upper left of the photo, it looks steep in there.

Thanks, I had to walk around a bit to show so much trail, there is a lot of trees obviously in that area that were blocking my viewpoint. This was the best I could do.

It is steep. it's uphill getting to it actually, with two jumps, but it's easy to carry speed to the top, then there is .a lot of vert-drop in the switchback.

Looks like the Issaquah-Preston trail, no? I ride that with my 23mm tires, just because it links other longer road sections.

Pretty stoked today. New job pretty is much confirmed, will be a good change and more money might come in useful (maybe back to BC again this fall after all, and NZ 2019 much more likely to happen). Second real ride since a weird rotator cuff nerve problem started 5 weeks ago - couldn't lift my right arm past 45 degrees for no reason one day, got some movement back on my second physio session 3 weeks ago so we ruled out tendon damage and now building strength back slowly - currently on 2x20 kneeling pushups, like an old lady. Good enough to ride though, and I completely forgot about the shoulder today on a quick after-work 1000m descent off the lift. Stoked to have this as my backyard trail and rode one tricky tech section for the first time ever. Fuck yeah, bikes are awesome.

Rode Around the Mountain at Bogus Basin this morning. Supposedly one of the best rides around Boise. Lots of climbing with some fun downhill sections. Perfect weather and the dirt was holding up ok.

Took advantage of a Specialized demo day and got to ride a carbon Stumpy. Pretty fun bike.

A pretty amazing morning up on the Crest. Sam's first time up there. He climbed all of those steep hills like it was no big deal and he LOVED all of the downhill to Mill D. Next time, we'll descend into the Canyons for even more fun!
