Even more so after last week's few inches of rain. Looking like it should be another awesome late winter and spring San Diego riding. Snow in the mountains too.

I know. I was solo night riding not far from there late summer and ran into a Cougar on the trail. We both looked at each other and it took off into the woods.

Quick dog lap on Amasa/Hymasa before a lower Ahab lap (see whale in background) on my way home from SLC. Perfect pit stop.

Good amount of road riding this year and not nearly enough skiing. Did get out on the mtb the other day although there's not much to ride yet

Had a bizness trip to Vegas, so I brought the bike along. Left Salt Lake Saturday and hit Jems up really quick that night then went to Gooseberry the next day.

After a couple of days of Vegas I was ready to get the hell out of there. Headed down to Kingman to check stuff out. Trails were fun and the local at the trail were friendly, but damn, that place is truck stop the town. Head back to Boulder City to check out Bootleg Canyon the next day. Neat little town, I will be back. Wish I had more bike for Bootleg + the wind was howling, so I kept to the more sheltered tails.
I wanted to check out Caliente, but the weather was going to be crappy so I just headed home. Next month maybe..

Did you go into the down town historic district in Kingman? It's really nice but the outskirts and zones right off the exits are pretty rough. You should have hit me up. There's some new stuff out on Monolith that is really fun. Check the trail building forum for my latest post.

Continuing the Bootleg stoke, my son took his new bike out for the first time tonight. We played around on the pump track then did what's probably the easiest trail in the system. It has some parts that were a bit sketchy for him on his 20in rigid that were fun and basically trivial on the new bike, so I hope that it opens up a few more trail options for him in town. Right now, we mostly go to Henderson's trails when we ride together (the trail system there has expanded a lot though, so sfotex, if you're ever stuck in Vegas again, it's another one to hit up. Trail Mix is a current favorite).

Edit: How are TGR forums worse with photo orientation than any other system I've ever encountered?
