Quick shot from day two in Ainsa, Spain... four more days left. The riding here is beyond technical and steep.

Did you go with the Mach 5.5 Dfinn? What do you think so far?

No, that's not me in the pic. I went with the Sentinel and I really like it. Just pissed that they decided to come out with a carbon version 2 months after I bought mine.

Two more from Ainsa, day 3. This place has redefined rowdy for me.

That’s awesome smmokan.
Been exploring near my house. Found a sustained steep AF ancient trail goes straight up the mountain. I got this far with the bike.
Too steep with frozen ground and weenie shoes. You stay here, I’m gonna hike up. Stay!
Worth the hike
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

Been in the mid-high 30s for a few days and the roads are drying out so I figured I should go ride a bike.
You do need to keep it mostly on the pavement. Or maybe I need a fat bike.

Kind of looking like the bike might have to get put away for a bit. Squeezed in one last ride with springsproject this morning before the storm hit.

Put it away?
I don’t think so.

I tore/strained my MCL and have been riding my rollers in the garage, and that got old pretty quick, so I’m renting this for 4 days.

It’s just so much nicer, being out side. I’m just waiting for sunrise.

That looks fun! Where?
Did they pull a groomer behind a snowmobile?
Here in Snowmass they groom the multi use trails by pulling a groomer behind a gator w/mat tracks. It doesn’t quite pack the trails as firm as I prefer.

^^^ That's near Winthrop, WA, and yes, they pull some groomer/weight thing behind a snow machine. So the multi-use trails are wider, and these are bike only, so they're much smoother. I just had 4 of their best days this winter. Hard grippy snow. I didn't know it then, but dogs are allowed on these trails, too. Hmmmm...

Pics from last weekend... Friend was visiting from Phx looking to ride. Storm on Friday chased us up to OC where trails would be better.
Did a big Santa Anas loop on Saturday, up Trabuco down San Juan and back across Caspers
Climbing up Trabuco
San Juan
All fire roads across Caspers
Los Pinos is classic Santa Anas, following along the top of a ridge.
Depending on your climbing strength there are 8 to 17 hike a bikes
New addition to the register box
Riding off Los Pinos peak
Looking back up the ridgeline we descended, from high point in the middle
