Trail was a bit more rock than I expected and turned back cause I was worried about pups pads. Was keeping an eye on it but he still managed to tear both front pads. Poor buddy. Pretty happy he drinks from the Camelback though.

Sierra Azul? Looks like somewhere above Los Gatos.

That’s Mailboxes. One that route today. Much smoother than Lock em up. I take at alternate exit that is a little less gnar rock garden. And I don’t hit those gaps. But such a fun line.
Alt exit goes down and out of a canyon
.
Climb up Wilder has a nice ocean view.
Been learning more of the routes behind campus. Found a nice downhill and climb out today. That was fun.

What is the black cylinder shaped thing on your bars? Speaker? Large bell?

The 8yo asked to go bikepacking a few weeks ago so after doing a little research we choose the St Regis trail. 6 miles of riding each way to a little sandy beach for camping.
Our first bike camping trip but it was super fun and I'm already looking forward to the next one.

That's good parenting right there. Kudos to the 8 year old as well.

Got my knee replaced in April, and it's been a long painful road. Now am finally out on my bike, doing short intermediate rides but with a big grin. Targhee trails deliver once again.
