Lee, I hear CBC is back? How on earth did that trail fall away in the first place? I last rode it in 2007 and couldn't believe it could ever fall to such disrepair. Back then it seemed like the quintessential north shore trail. It was weird hearing that it since fell apart.

Myself, Shar and others would hike and clear drains on it till about 2012. Then after that the land manager and the local trail organization had some kind of falling out and organized trailwork ceased. I'm guessing 10 years of disrepair. The new work is solid though and goes a long way

The exact same words were going through my mind.

Eating shit hurts so much more on a bike than skiing… Probably why I’ll never actually be that good a biker; hurts too much to fuck up.
    focus.

Final resting spot. About 10" from being a lot worse.

We told him not to crash there, but Eluder never listens.

I've ridden that line many times cleanly, it was wetter than its looks that day and I took a higher direct line on the off camber slab which promptly made my front wheel disappear. Fortunately it was only one summersault then I stopped with a fat lip and a shaken level of confidence. Its probably a 50-60 foot drop if it goes bad.

You'd at least bounce a few times on the way down. Makes the final impact less painful.

Seems like you got off light, I'd certainty at least need a new pair of shorts if I had done the same thing.

Did Jeremy ever finish his rock berm to berm to berm? Can't count the number of times we'd ride that trail and he'd be working on that same spot.

Whistler Bike Park still doesn't have braking bumps but still too much snow up high to get to Garbo

    Snow level about 900m
