Only the ice in the last pic was slick, and it was nicely bamked against a rock the camera was on. The rest had dirt ground into it and was at least as grippy as a sandy rock. Overall it makes for a slower but super fun ride.

Dragging ass to get out the door, mtb trails were a mess, but glad to get out for 2 hr mostly gravel dirt roads. Bear is pretty popular landmark and made of old nails I think.

Sunday afternoon ride. Checked out some lesser used horse trails. Looks like the horse people are getting into naming their user "built" trails too. Kinda cool actually, even if their trails are an eroded, rutted mess.

Rode the White Rim for the first time last Wednesday. Great day on the bike. Early morning and evening had cold temps but daytime conditions were very comfortable. Definitely recommend going late season, we only saw 2 other people out there and no other riders. Brought 4L of water and drank 3L. I've ridden less than 1000 miles total this year and I was expecting to hurt out there but was able to keep a steady pace and finish relatively strong in under 12 hrs total time. Hoping to go back this time next year in better shape and try to finish in the daylight.

Another local ride. A recent fire burned one hillside. The dozers were nice enough to skip over the singletrack so the trails were basically untouched by fire breaks. Perfect afternoon. Only saw a couple other riders. Guess it was my day!

Second day of 2021 for us. Low elevation rain making ideal conditions for dual sport days.
