Best dirt we’ve had this year was today, it’s been wicked wet back east. We are finally in a nice sunny and dry pattern. So much grip. Foliage is slow getting going this year, soon come.

Rained all night here!! Oh baby.

7am ride: dirt/sand was still a bit squishy but traction was all time!

1pm: dirt and slabs dried out a touch - was prime riding conditions.

Hick you are a madman. That is quite the ride. Hiked up there in 2013 with Tony so I really wanted to revisit it. Top half may be out of my league (without some rock rearranging), bottom half was some of the sickest steep singletrack I've ever ridden!

I’m so glad you got to enjoy that! FYI- it’s closed to bikes in the next travel plan Bullshit cause it’s self regulated.

Yeah that's dumb. I feel like nobody ever goes up there anyway. That singletrack on the approach is pretty damn fun too. Is Rock a worthy destination?

According to friends who work higher up within the FS, that is the exact logic these twats use to close shit. “No one really goes there anyways, right? Well, I’ve never been so no one else could possibly go there. Close it, then we don’t have to think about it.” I better not get started, don’t want to derail the best thread on TGR!!

OMG that helmet, that's absolutely adorable.

Posted in the Wasatch dirt thread but I'll post here too I guess. Took the kid I mentor down one of his first real blue flow trails today - he had an absolute blast. Neither his shitty hardtail commuter nor his blown out skinny tires kept him from having the time of his life. His stoke was absolutely contagious.
