Ya'll ride in some beautiful country. I'm jeally.
Here in flatlandia, we make due with what we have. I'm a short drive to some good trails, but weeknights, I'm stuck here. A local group (which I'm not a part of, but should be- shout out to the Dry Creek Trail Riders!) partnered with the city and built a trail along the Tuolumne River. It's not technical or have any elevation, but it's pretty nice down there and it gets me out riding.
Last night I tagged it.
It's getting dark earlier goddamnit. Barely made it back home before dark.

You're killing me (and by you, I mean the wilderness freaks) since Sheep is my favorite "regular" ride.
I finally got around to riding on the Centennials range (Keg Springs to Taylor Mountain segment) which is < 15 minutes from the house in Island Park, ID
The forest service road climb up to the CDT isn't bad and it's eminently shuttle-able via a Subaru
Almost to the top of the CDT climb
Fires made the views hazy, but the scenery was top notch (looking north to Red Rock Lakes)
I got "lighted out" and want to redo downhill in the daylight (Slow and out of shape this summer = riding the downhill via Braille WELL after dusk)

Awww Montana Rider- that downhill could be full of wildlife for sure, coming down Taylor Creek. Glad you made it out. There's one more I want to do in the Centennials: Coal Mine then east along the divide to Salamander or the next exit.

Your map proved very helpful (THANKS!) as I was on the upper road crossing that mining area and by the time I realized I was "too high" it was 1/4 mile bushwhack straight down to where the singletrack left the drainage...
I was giving some serious thought to an overnight bivouac at that point, but the singletrack was primo and thankfully well worn / quasi ride-able in the dark.

Go forth and ride, then bring back pics
A couple more from my NW road trip. Sorry for the lack of action shots, been rolling solo.
Tiger Mtn area yesterday. Was real wet. Hit OTG, NOTG, Predator. Bummed I missed the turn for East Bound and Down. Everything was except NOTG, doesn’t handle the massive amounts of moisture well. Got a lap 1/2 on Flow State at Exit 27 the evening before but didn’t have time to check out more over. Reallly want to go back there. Hit Squamish last night and it’s real wet with three days of rain in the forecast. Gonna get out for a ride with a local this afternoon.
View from the top, Ranier obscured in the clouds.
NOTG a little the worse for wear with the wet.
This fell from high up onto the trail right in front of me. Glad wasn’t a hair faster climbing.
A little muddy after my first lap, ha.There's nothing better than sliding down snow, and flying through the air
