Go forth and ride, then bring back pics

What a great weekend with quite a few mags from the forum in celebration of @LVS’s bday!! Wound up at Sherman Pass in a little area of Washington that doesn’t particularly attract the crowds. Descents were dry but freaking fun and ascents generally steep with quite a bit of hike-a-bike thrown in. Luckily I avoided @LVS’s pièce de résistance the final day where he suckered many into one final shuttle promising 5k of glorious single track down a recently “logged” slope but it all sounded too good! Turns out it was another #wackingwithwoody adventure that had the crew rolling into camp around 8pm haha — this was the second ride of the day mind you. Anyways great stuff as always!

I’ll dump what I have I’m sure others will add.

What was the count? $48k worth of carbon on the tailgate? Not bad at all!!

Quick ride in and a flaming red sun. Thought we only did about 8 miles, he thought we did 3-4 miles... we did 24 - easy when it's nice out

All looks nice ^^ though I wouldn't last riding in the sun for hours.
Cruising around in the forest Saturday, didn't see another rider, just some tracks that looked recent.

Cool little rock ridge line that shows signs of failure to stay on top in the lichen

No pics, but a friend of mine just texted that he’s seen Aaron Gwinn in the lift line at Whitefish several times today. My lady and I ran into him at a Helena Starbucks on Sunday as they were passing through.

Longtime no post! Thought I'd share a few highlights from our summer at Highland so far.

Rode the incredible T4 trail yesterday, from the top of the Kicking Horse gondola, down LSD and back through the Moonraker trails and down CBT Mainline to the Whitetooth brewery in Golden BC. From the exposed ridge-line hike-a-bike, chunky jank, steeps, and booters, to the endless flowy single-track, it was a memorable day on the bike.

Evening ride with the youngest. From the look on his face it would look like he was being punished. :-)

I think he got the last laugh, though.

Ha. Awesome. Wish I would have had one of those seats when my kids were a bit younger. that helmet looks useless though, but seeing how you roll with him in the back of the truck makes sense. keeps the cab much cleaner

Also, obligatory Sedona pics. I rode Soldier Pass for the first time this winter which was busy but fun. Also checked out the Girdner re-route and Ground Control. Both are great additions.

Also made it down to Mexico for a bit. Trails aren't anything special but the location can't be beat

Back home I've gotten to ride burn zones new and old (second picture is damage from last year's Museum Fire)

I've also got to check out some of Raisingarizona's handiwork on the New Heart Trail. It's incredible, can't wait til the whole thing is finished.

Currently, I've just been enjoying the monsoon trail conditions.

Thanks man! I just got word that the last bit has been fully punched through today on Heart. I'm headed out now for my first uninterrupted TTB run on it. I've been looking forward to this day for quite a while now, 4 years to be specific!

Either the FS has gotten more fun with survey monuments or somebody has too much time on their hands. Thing was mounted on concrete and didn’t budge.

I’m lame with a shoulder injury, but I also dug a bunch of trail at the house and made a few jumps. Last night was photo session time
