It's on Gold Bar Rim. Easy to miss, I rode right past it but luckily Sam spotted it. The kids rode a ridiculous amount of Portal. Walked a few of the hardest corners but cleaned basically everything else.

Two epic rides, no crashes, no mechanicals, perfect weather, smiling on the climbs and crushing the descents, going to remember this one forever.

More technicolor aspen riding from fabulous SWCO

~37 miles & 6500’. We saw 8 other riders and knew most of them. The crowds in Colorado are getting crazy. Click image for larger version.

I guess I jumped on the Aspen Oct bandwagon: rode a Sunnyside lap on Sunday; still popping!

It’s all about *where* in Colorado

Durango is changing, but it’s still far enough away from the front range and I-70 that it’s been mostly saved.

    So far.

Ironically, I left Telluride. Which was only crowded on festival weekends.
Really more like it was getting too fancy, and Driggs/Targhee was more my style. (Especially the pow)
I never could have bought a house and opened a shop in T-ride in ‘95, both of which I was able to do in Teton Valley.
    But we digress.

Are you Jed’s neighbor? Have we had this conversation?

In the last 2 years Durango has changed more than the previous 10.

    Digress, indeed.

    Sweet pics!
The first time I drove through Kingman, I didn’t try and ride (‘98 or so?) because it just seemed like all I would find would be really pissed off equestrians.

Thanks, I know there were some local riders back in 98 that had their secret stashes but I'm not sure what the scene was really like back then. There's certainly a shit ton of meth users around there today but don't write off the trails, Mojave desert terrain and the historic downtown area. It's very nice and quiet, sort of an anti-Sedona/major destination scene and I'm really into that these days. The Spokesman bike shop is a very fun spot to go hang out at and this system we are working on will be like a quarter mile from there and downtown. This sin't a huge system, I think at full build out it might be about 8 miles but it's set up like a session system with short tech loops that you can quickly get back right up on and do multiple laps or try in different directions.
