Photo is looking southeast with the bay and Tiburon Peninsula in the background. Been riding Marin since 1987, yes its has its issues and its not that technical of riding but its highly diverse, close to an amazing urban center, has miles of trails with lots of nooks and crannies and you have the ability to ride from your house, ride some trail, then swing by the tap house on your way home. If you can swing it, it makes for a pretty nice situation. Not to say I some times want to scream when I get caught in traffic.

Just for yucks I linked one of my favorite mtb videos

I live in Marin as well. It's what you make of it! Definitley could be so much better if we had more access. I just built up a full rigid 29er to use for rides starting at home, since there's so many fire roads and trails where full suspension is overkill (at least the legal stuff).

Here’s a few from a few loops I did yesterday above Boise.
Hard to believe it’s been over 12 years since Nick left us. Such a nice place to take a break and remember him.

I’ll be up there in mid-August. But likely not doing that.

Haven't been riding much due to a re-agitated thumb injury, but did make it up to Engineer Trail last weekend.

Stanford Rock is as green as I've ever seen it right now, so good! The big winter (and also '17) definitely took a toll on the trail, seems like less dirt and more rock every time I ride it. Not as easy to clean the DH as it used to be for me, even on a bigger bike.
