^ That bear needs a beer.
There has been a tradition of Tuesday Night Rides in our town for almost 20 years, hosted by the LBS, currently the one gratuitously spammed in the background. People come and go but some have been in it for the long haul. Last night was a pretty eclectic mix of people and bikes, which was cool. Age ranged from 13 to 60. Three dad/son pairs, a bunch of young bucks, one young woman and a few old farts. Fatbikes, FS and hardtails all represented:
The group gets a little spread out on the trail but everyone meets up at the mud bog:
If you are ever near Huntsville, Ontario, on a Tuesday, feel free to show up, 6 PM, behind the AO store. Call ahead if you need a bike, rentals and demos are available."... Enjoy yourselves, keep your brain in your head and your head firmly attached to your body, the body active and alive, and I promise you this much: I promise you this one sweet victory over our enemies, over those deskbound people with their hearts in a safe deposit box and their eyes hypnotized by desk calculators. I promise you this: you will outlive the bastards." – Edward Abbey

Rode Alpine the the first day, Lawler/Hardesty (the double) the second day (in the pouring rain, like you were in a swimming pool) and a quick triple the third day (all downhill)
I hadn't ridden there since 2009 and don't remember much more than the Alpine trail being offered as a shuttle. Lawler/hardesty definately was my favorite, even in the pouring rain and mud.
I liked going on a non Mountain Bike Oregon weekend, as I don't know if I'd like to ride with 350 other people. I'm sure the party would be great, but i Imagine the trails get a little worked. Shuttle prices are higher than say downieville, but you get what you pay for.

Great pictures, everyone. It makes me want to get in my car and drive to Oakridge, then keep going all the way to CO!

I went last year for the July session and we had great weather: sunny & 75...trails were still pretty dust free early in the summer. There's a nice clear river running right by the camp area with a good spot to jump in (my 50 deg baths were there, BRRRR)
MBO is a great weekend. I took my bike but didn't even ride it because of all the great demos available. Food was OK; beer was really good! The evening (12" wheel) bike races are a lot of fun!
I found the spacing worked itself out, though certain trails offer limited passing if you get caught behind someone. Folks didn't seem upset if you call out and ask to pass.
This year still has space for July and it's their 10yr anniversary so the swag is prolly pumped up a notch.

yeah, sounds like it'd be worth it for the demo's and the schwag. Hit Ashland on Memorial day on the way up and got to demo a 2014 stumjumper evo. Nice bike. Specialized had 40 2014 models to demo. Here's some more Oakridge.
Alpine Trail was nice and misty up top

That campground in Oakridge is one of my favorite spots! The ice bath in the river is really refreshing after a long ride.

I prefer www.imgur.com you can edit/crop right on the website and no ads. Much cleaner interface. Looked like a super fun trip btw.

The backside of that landing is very 'polite'
I usually fill those things with granite boulders and pointy sticks.Besides the comet that killed the dinosaurs nothing has destroyed a species faster than entitled white people.-ajp

Nice, long, cerebral climb on the road bike this morning. Wish I could have made it longer but I just beat the rain...

Chatton18: nice vid! Probably a good thing we didn't get a lap in; pretty sure your going faster and bigger than I am by quite a bit.
A couple from that day. Mostly riding, didn't take many pics.
On of my very nice but very not very well coordinated bros in law.
Running with Lily.
