Had to drop off the Tacoma in St. Helena for some body work last week.
While I waited, I went for a ride.
Rode up to Angwin, dropped Teepee Trail and descended Dan's Wild Ride back into town.

3 generations Christmas Eve MTB ride. Funny that my 76y/o dad, who got me into bikes is getting shown around our local trails by my 8y/o little girl.

Riding and trailwork the last few days. A few of these are from the dig stoke thread

This one might be the hardest move out here. After dropping in you have less than a bike length to make a 90* turn before immediately hitting another drop that leads onto a narrow ledge. If you lose the front tire over the edge you're gonna tumble into the snake pit. There was a nice fat rattler living in the rocks under the trail last year. Second pic was taken just out of sight below Steve's front tire here

The Holy Fire closure recently ended, so we hit up a couple classic Santa Ana's backcountry rides today

Los Pinos: 2k of up to get 6k down, following the spine of a ridgeline with lots of steep, loose, rutted descents

Looking back up maybe 10mins into the ride. Each descent is followed by a steep climb, about 14 of them half of which are HAB

    Outstanding views

    Lock and load

    And a fun chunky ending

Lap 2 on Chiquito Trail. Nice forested ride for a while then some nice rock features. The branches growing out of the rock Tom is riding over is all poison oak.

Then it is a chunkfest all the way down to the highway

Thanks! This is our prime riding season. 60-70F every day! High country just got shut down a few weeks ago by snow.

You could edit the photo, that seems to fix up the Pio's. OTOH, that's cool.

    ^^^Peace, bro

After the longest bike hiatus ever (ankle/kankle) I got a wild hair and did an evening into night slow snow ride.

The hot weather girl told me 1-2 inches, turned into a good 6" with the fluffiness on top.
